Probably a bit late to ask this question since Leliana is level 13 and I can't back out the points, but I'm curious...
I use Leliana as an archer (my player character is a rogue bard/assassin.) I've been pumping points into her cunning since I have her with lethality (like my rogue), but I realized a couple levels ago that I need to get her dexterity up since I don't get any fade bonuses for her and want to use some of the nice bows (like the one I got in the elf town from the iron wood quest.) Is a dexterity/cunning/lethality/'bard song of courage buil'd a pretty good option for her? Or maybe she's better off with dex/str non lethality build?
Also, just to double check, I'm assuming song of courage stacks if I have my rogue with it as well? That could be pretty sweet I'd think.
Leliana - cunning lethality decent for her as archer?

Cunning + Lethality is very effective for her. It boosts her damage and bard song bonuses. You only need enough base dexterity to shore up the difference with items. 34 modified dexterity is sufficient to equip the best available longbows.
And yes, Song of Courage stacks.

I basically got her dex up high enough to use the best bows(36? iirc or something along those lines) then pumped cunning/specced into lethality for the same reasons you're thinking. She did well with that build and I've seen a lot of the more Min/Max players saying it's a good build for a bard/archer

There are some terrific archery mods available at dragonagenexus to help buff your archer(s). I use them shamelessly for the obvious advantages.

Well, her Bard songs are an awesome (more like epic) boost to your party's overall damage and whatnot. As for her damage, I feel she is bad in that department; although, I don't notice her damage because of Morrigan's epic crowd controls. I mainly keep her in the party because of her dialogue and songs, but she isn't much of a damager (well from what I noticed). I even had her fully pimped out with Farsong, that rogue armor from Wade (forgot the name), and pretty much all the best rogue gear, and still didn't notice her damage input.
