I'm in the Nature of the Beast line, at the lower level of the ruins in the Brecilian Woods. I have a rogue archer, Alistair, Morrigan, and Sten. I'm trying to get past the room with the ghost boy and the large skeleton fight. I get party wiped every time. What I would really like to do is to move to a corner to fight to avoid getting surrounded.

The problem is that I cannot for the life of me get my party to follow me. Instead, I have to run my main to the corner, then switch to Alistair, run him over to the corner, etc. Since the cut scene always brings the party into the middle of the room, they get surrounded, knocked down, and usually die before they even get to the corner. The entire fight is usually over in less than 20 seconds.

Any advice?

STAY OUT OF THE ROOM!

Have everyone out in the corridor, around a corner. Then have ONE person walk to the door and use a ranged attack and RUN AWAY!

The bad guys follow you into YOUR ambush.

Win.

He is actually quite easy to rush down, at least on normal difficulty. Just get him into melee range a few times and he will stop teleporting, then burn him down. Be aware, however, that skeletons will keep entering the room even after he is dead.

If the party won't follow you can always hit "=" to select all and force them to all move together.

Or simply bring two mages and win every fight on normal :D

I'm still very confused and from the answers I'm not sure we're talking about the same fight. This is the first large chamber on the lower ruin, near where you find the tablet that gives you the elven ritual quest. When you first enter the room, there are no mobs, only a ghost boy.

1. Even if I park my entire party in a corner somewhere, when I move to the boy to start the cut scene, the entire party automatically gets moved into the middle of the floor. They appear in the cut scene as a group, right in the middle of the circle.

2. There are no bad guys to draw out. The room just has the ghost boy and all the baddies spawn when the conversation with the boy is over.

3. The party does not follow me even when all of them are selected. They stand and fight in the middle, even though I've moved far off into a corner.

So, I clearly don't know how to force the party to move together in combat. Can someone explain, please?

I was able to win this fight eventually, once I was able to move three surviving party members into one corner.

In case I'm not the only one struggling with this: To really force your party to move where you want them to, activate "hold" (H), select the entire pary (=), and then use the click-on-the-ground method to force them to move where you want them. Then you can select your hero character and sneak off by yourself without them following.
