Give the geth lobotomies then. Problem solved.
But I don't want to cuz that would be wrong.
Just make non-sentient robots to do the work you want them to do. Jeez. Don't lobotomize already sentient robots.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree.
It would seem so.

I do and that's why I think Ashley is a smart girl.
I have an idea: kill everyone who could ever possibly pose a danger.
Then there won't be a galaxy left to defend and you'll save resources. Problem solved.

Oh. Meh.

No it isn't, it is basic politics. I cannot safeguard myself against a nation which will not engange in any kind of diplomacy or trade with me and which I cannot effectively spy on.
1. Legion will talk to you.
2. You could spy on them.

You don't know that, either. You don't know anything. Only a fool thinks hardware develops while software doesn't.

Yes, that's why I'm so optimistic.

That's why I'm so pessimistic.
They're going to keep making mistakes. Ova and ova and ova.
Good news, though: I think Cerberus has started a support group they can use. "Bunglers Anonymous" or something, I believe.

You know, Nightwriter, I encountered this very same argument a year ago on the old forums. A charming lady named Kahra insisted on using it. It is a very flawed argument. As much as I hate analogies I'm going to use the same one here that I used back then.
You have a village in Africa and recently a lion has begun prowling around the edges. You have many children and livestock in this village and so it is likely that sooner or later the lion may kill somebody or a valuable animal. To rectify this problem a few villagers and I shoot the lion.
To stay consistent, we then go on an journey across Africa and kill every single lion on the continent.
Sensible, don't you think?

Legion has waited too long and in the process of "talking to me" he's used my ship to secure geth interests (Heretic station) and he's spied on my crew. He's done nothing to earn trust.
Also no, the geth cannot be easily spied on. If that were the case we'd already know everything about them.

The Collector base is not dangerous.

It doesn't need to develop in any meanginful way in order to adapt to a new platform design. Regardless, the quarians have plenty of time to study their enemy. I see no reaosn that anything the geth do would be beyond anybody's understanding. They are not unknowable gods.

That's a start so I'm proud of you.

The Quarians sealed their fate when they decided to start disabling machines they created. They could've just convinced the geth their purpose was to be slaves to the quarians, instead of attacking them.
Seriously, it was such a straight forward situation. What idiots the quarians were.

Organics, by nature are prone to mistakes, but Synthetic life is based on pure logic.
So the geth never ****-up, huh? I wonder then why they sent a single solitary platform to the derelict Reaper when the future of their 'species' depended upon it? I wonder why Legion was caught hacking Tali's omnitool, I wonder why he thought it was a good idea to go behind her and Shepard's back and risk an incident? I wonder why the Reapers preach all the damned time?

It wouldn't make sense to take the time to raise an army when the Geth could simply slip in an agent on a mission that wasn't supposed to involve huskified Cerberus agents....
Actually it would make a lot more sense to send at least a platoon, if not more. The heretics are running rampant around the galaxy anyway so it's not as if anyone will notice. You also might consider that Legion's mission would have been a lot harder if the Cerberus agents weren't already huskified.

In the indecent between Tali and Legion, it would make sense that Legion should protect the Geth against the Quarians at all costs or else risk losing everything they have worked 300 years for.
No... no... I'm going to stay nice and civil, because because... well I'm just going to. Legion should have taken his concerns to Shepard. Instead he went behind his back. He's lucky that when Shepard was presented with the situation that he didn't just shoot Legion right then and there. Way to build trust.

(really, why did sovereign even take the time of day to try to explain anything to Shepard when he found him?).
Sovereign was basically just wasting your time to buy some for Saren and the geth reinforcements to get into the complex. They still didn't know exactly what you were up to there, and there was probably some stuff that would have been nice to grab before getting out for good. In a way, it was trolling you. The whole conversation amounted to:
Sov: "Pff. Organics... Looossseeeers!"
Shep: "I'll stop you"
Sov: "No you won't. Because you suck. I'm out."
