Since I'm not crazy, my eyes didn't talk to me during the Liara/FemShep sex scene, so I'm not sure what their opinion is on the whole thing.

First of all, calling a hermaphrodite an "it" is offensive.



Second of all, considering that Asari do not reproduce through standard Genitalia but via that psychic thing, whatever you'd find down there would probably be similar to a larger vagina with no clitoris, since its only biological purpose would be childbirth instead of sex and the species has no males.

When a fetus begins its development, both male and female children are the same. It is only when they receive the appropriate hormones at certain stages in the pregnancy that they begin developing differently, into male and female babies. This is why men have nipples. Similarly, the clitoris is what would have been a penis had the child been male.


A species that doesn't ever produce males would not have one. And, since they get their sexual pleasure from brain linking anyway, it wouldn't really be necessary.

You don't understand, the clitoris would never go away. Even if there was no biological need for it anymore the clitoris would just migrate to a different spot on the body.

Like, for instance, it would move to the top of the head and develop elegantly swept tentacle-like appendages to maximize pleasure.
