WOW, assuming the asari's have a love button, I will just think that maybe those arm thingys on her head do have something to do with the psychic linking, which also could be how the asari produce. Think of those tenticles as sucking the informations out of shepards head to help make her a clone baby asari. Basically asari are space vampires. Only their fangs are on the top of their head which are tenticle fish thingies.
As for the drell war. I like this topic. Thane is very skilled in Killing. In the comic I saw Feron. Mostly get his ass wooped and he really didn't do much. I mean he got his ass kicked by a salarian. Come on now. Sense when are salarians very tough. I mean Mordin couldn't even survive the final suicide mission on the front line. Out of all the characters who mysteriously died it was him the most.
Now if you put it in terms of text I did have a female shepard romance liara and I did have my female cheat with thane mostly because thane is dieing. hehe, but I ended up keeping him alive at the end of the suicide mission because I wanted to see where it all goes. Liara meets up with Feron again only to be taken as a lover because of her lovers betrayal. I could see his happening.
AS for the one who worships Casey's every word. You might be write sense hes helps write the story of ME, but we do need the anarchiest of ME universe like Lemonwizard. And who ever polically corrected him. Good for you.

Remember, the majority of the time they spent together chasing Shepard's body Feron kept on pissing Liara off because he kept on screwing everything up, they only began to show some mutual respect for one another in the last two issues and even then they barely even knew each other. Let's also not forget that even if Shepard did not get romantically involved with Liara she still may have feelings for him/her.
The fact of the matter is that since Shepard's body was recovered alot of time has past (over a year), Feron is more than likely dead since he was captured by the Shadow Broker.

I don't think it'll be much of a trouble, if he remembers to keep his breather mask with him at all times...

That's true, except that we don't really know if Feron was captured! The last we (& Liara) see of him is that he is clinched in a fight with that big Salarian mercenary... which does strongly imply that Feron got captured.
But suppose Feron was captured why would the Shadow Broker necessarily kill him? To avenge the betrayal? No, a prolonged torture would make a better revenge. To make an example for the others? Maybe, but then Liara would know of his death for certain by now...
I think the best guess is that TSB did to Feron something similar to what Jabba the Hutt did to Han Solo. Which means Feron will be recoverable.
