No one, because if there is a God in heaven this movie won't be made. You can't make a movie of a videogame with seemingly infinite outcomes and backstories, so random that there isn't an established canon, and more importantly, YOU CAN'T MAKE A MOVIE BASED ON A VIDEOGAME. They NEVER work. Peter Jackson realized this with Halo and went with the Oscar-nominated District 9 instead.

bale would suck as shepard. he just doesnt look like a leader. worthington is too young. you need someone in their early 30s who looks like he can kick a lot of ass. i would say hugh jackman but he is too old. maybe someone *like* the rock, but not him.

thats a good idea, because if we want a femshep, mark can just slip into something girlier, like he did here:

www.seemagazine.com/media/article_images/1396.jpg

(yes thats him. he is the guy making shepards voice. him.)

This.

Having said that, Gary Oldman.

Urrrr, Jackson never made District 9. Just ask Mr. Blomkamp. He produced it though.

But as I said on the survey itself. Terrible list of choices. Should have had an "other"option. Didn't vote.

Oh and Worthington hurts my eyes,

I vote Mark Meer ... i would simply be put off by a shepard who didn't SOUND like Shepard. But then I'm also full of analytical questions when it comes to video-games gone movie ...

How am I supposed to get into this? Has Christian Bale even *played* Mass Effect? Does he really know how to act the part? I mean, he utterly DESTROYED batman for me, so if he were to play Shepard I would just cry on the inside.

But I suppose in the end, I would be ok with it so long as they didn't cast Vin Diesel or The Rock. But seriously, it should totally be Mark Meer. And if he doesnt want to do film acting, then why make it a live action movie? Go CG, and let the original voice cast do their characters.

you do realize there's a canon storyline to mass effect right, just look at the choices that translate into ME2 with default shepard, that's canon

KOTOR also has established canon (dark side male revan, light side female exile)

We don't even know if the movie is about Shepard. If it is, then it would defeat the purpose of even playing the game.

If I recall correctly, the choices for the default shepard in ME2 isn't canon, but are just there for the player who didn't play ME1. Hudson already said that it's "the players universe". They can't make a movie of Shepard. It has to be something else. If it is Shepard, they'll be in for a shock when no one goes to watch it. At least no one who has played the trilogy.

The only "canon" is that the basic storyline plots are resolved (in any fashion given) and that Shepard lives at the end.

They need to make the movie about captain Anderson. He's the coolest udina punching/bullet taking powerhouse ever. That man deserves a movie

Good christ no Christian Bale please. It should be a lesser known actor. In fact how about they just don't make it at all. I swear to god it'll be ruined.

As the poll doesnt offer the choice of "other" it comes across nothing as the OP saying these are *my* choices which one do you like best? I have nothing to vote for.

Jason Statham. Around the right age. Pretty badass and does tons of action movies on the cheap which saves money for better special effects.

No one will play Shepard because it wont be about the Specter we all know and love.

Otherwise your Shepard story no longer is true and the movie becomes cannon.
