Alright, so this may be a silly question but I would like to know if it's possible to give Bioware points to someone as a gift.

I have searched for this option,  but I haven't found it anywhere. Since the way Bioware points work somewhat resembles the way gift cards work, it doesn't seem unlikely to me that you could possibly give them as a gift.

Me and a friend are both addicted to Dragon Age, so I'd love to give him Bioware points for his upcoming birthday so that he can buy the Darkspawn Chronicles and other things he likes.

Oh, and I have never bought any DLC's myself. But if you buy one, do you just get the code? So would it be possible for me to buy the DLC's and just give the codes to him so he can redeem them? That would work too, although I'd rather have him pick the DLC's he likes.

Since I couldn't find the option anywhere, I expect you can't buy Bioware points for someone else, but I'm asking anyway. ^-^

Thanks in advance!

As far as I know, points can't be given to another person. You also don't get a code. You only have codes from cards (like the one being already in the game box). Your account is authorized with the DLC and it is downloaded. You could present your friend with a points card if that option is available in your country. The point card (edited) does contain a code for points. But stuff bought online via BioWare (usually) is without a code. Hope, this helps a little.

(It was a try, so be gentle.)

Disclaimer: In most respects this would probably be considered bad advice so use it at your own risk.

I wanted to gift some Microsoft points to a friend (had to be right away so we could buy/play some games that night) so I offered to let him use my credit card on his Xbox live account. He gave me his password info and such so I just logged in under his gamertag/account, bought the points, and then deleted my credit card from the account.

You could probably do something similar. Just have your friend give you the account information, log in, use your credit card to make the purchase, and make sure to delete the card after you're done.

Really not smart from a security standpoint I know... But he's someone I trust.

Thanks for all your replies!

I'd rather just give him the points/codes, but I guess I'll figure something out. ^-^

I was kind of thinking about something along the way of what Wicked 702 suggested. So I guess I'll just have to resort to that. Not very convenient, but it'll be ok. :D

Thanks again! =D
