Mines 8 1/2 to 9 in mens, I usually wear casual skateboarder shoes styled shoes, but are not typical skateboarder style. There less extreme, more so casual. Plus I have Ascics for XC and track.

I can't walk in anything with a high arch support, but having a flat shoe just contributes to more problems. For a formal shoe, I bought my very first pair of Doc Martens. it fits great, but unfortunately, I didn't take into account foot problems, so if my feet swell up, or I put in insoles, or have to wear my ankle brace, the shoe is very snug.
For winter, I wear a high-top hiking boot. I recently retired a pair of Columbias and am looking forward to a new pair of Merrells this winter. I tend to wear the same pair of hikers every day during the winter months, and even during the summer months if they're comfortable enough. Because of this, I need to replace shoes far more often than I do now.
For less-serious formal events (like our company Christmas party), I have my very first pair of bright red Converse. Quite comfy if not terribly supportive.
I'm not usually a fan of fancy brand name shoes. Merrell is about as brand-name as I get, though as i just mentioned, I do have my very first pair of Docs and Converese. I used to have a pair of Lugz, but that's only because it was identical to a pair I was replacing (and $40 more expensive, too. Stoopid brand name).
Oh, and my feet aren't anything spectacular. Size 9-10.5, depending on the manufacturer and how my feet are at the time.

I prefer boots but since I started running recently I have started wearing trainers or (sneekers) as I believe you Americans call them.

it's not all that bad. it's just a pain in the ass trying to find a place that sells shoes of that size. the only places i know of are located inside of malls. i suppose it's okay since i get to peep some fine looking ladies along the way.
my heighth is also 6'6". fitting inside of cars can be something else, i tell ya. japanese compact cars and i don't mix too well. i once had to drive a drunk cousin around town for one night in her then time brand new toyota celica GT. i should have removed the front seat and used the backseat as the driver's seat. the roof was also too low. i was driving that damn thing hunched forward the entire time. the only positive thign about that car is that it had a 6 speed manual transmission.

no, i never played basketball. i'm white. that means i cannot jump worth a damn. all i could do was graze the rim. however, i did play baseball. i'm a lefty, and i pitched. i basically walked on to my high school's varsity team as a sophomore. if i hadn't jacked up during my freshman year academics, i may have bene playing professionally. i had to retake 4 courses during my senior year, which most of those extra courses were night ones. my fastballs were clocked at 86mph. that's pretty damn fine for a 15 year old high schooler. i also had a screwball, slider, curveball, cut fastball, and knuckleball in my arsenal. i'm 27 now and work in the wind power industry.

thanks. i also came from the same high school that steve soderstrom was recruited from. his older sister was my american history teacher during my senior year. tom brandstater also attended while i was a student there. i was a couple years ahead of him. from my dealings with him during high school, i can easily say he's a douche bag.

with flats/ converse Im a 7 to 7 1/2
and with heels Im an 8. or around that number. it depends on the brand. Its sometimes hard to find a size that fits because of my freakishly wide feet.
