Hi folks.

I know there's a thread about ME3-wishes, but since I'm fishing for ideas, I wanted to make a thread for it.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned, but I'll just start with my ideas.

It recently ocurred to me, that the Normandy is, aside from epic pre-rendered cut-scenes, just a transport and HQ.

But why not put the Normandy into the battlefield too?
Upgrading our beloved ship in ME2 was a good start, but I'd like to see more of her.

Right now I'm not sure wether to give each class a unique skill or just make it like soldier/biotic/tech with slightly changed stats for the hybrid-classes.

So these are my ideas:

Skills for each class:

Soldier: Orbital Bombardment. Shepard points a target with a laser(or some ME-tech that's similar to it). Shortly after that, the Normandy projects a strong, charged particle-beam.
The particles will unleash their energy at the position that's marked and can penetrate a building without damaging it.
Quite similar to the particle-accelerator that they test for cancer-treatment right now.

Adept: Biotic-Drop: The Normandy launches a small missile that will deploy a cloud of an genetically engineered virus. If it infects Shepard and the biotic squad-mates on the field, it falls apart in the cells and a small portion of a biotic booster is applied to the metabolism, boosting biotic abilities for a short time.
Should they be in a building, the missile is aimed for the life-support-systems of the station/bunker/whatever, where it impacts without doing a lot of damage. Then the missile feeds it's load into the air-filtering.

Engineer: Mech-Drop: A small squad of mechs is launched into the battlefield. If Shepard should be in a building, the mechs will take a little longer to reach the position because they have to search for alternate routes.

Sentinel: Deflective shield-projection: The Normandy projects an advanced cyclonic shield, which reflects smaller projectiles back to their origin. The shield is spherical and protects the targeted area.
After a certain ammount of energy is reflected, the shield depletes.
Since the cpu-need for calculations and the energy-need are high, the shield can just reflect regular rounds and is too small for ship-use.

Infiltrator: No Idea. Maybe one of you has one.

Vanguard: No Idea. Maybe one of you has one.

The skills would need balancing for not becoming too powerfull.
Also they could possibly use minerals(mech-manufacturing, energy-use, etc.)

Mehhh... it doesn't seem to fit in with ME if I'm honest; it just looks like BioWare is taking stuff from Battlefield and such as.

Not a bad idea, though.

Yeah, to be perfectly honest, I don't see how one military specialization would have a specific upgrade on the same ship over another military specialization.

Excuse the convolution of that sentence. I'm tired

@Alphyn: I think, I just overused the word battlefield. I didn't mean the game. I pretty much wanted to give the Normandy some usefull in-fight-appearances. Pretty similar to the awefull view in the endrun from the collector base.

@FoFoZem: No need to excuse for being tired;)

But back to topic: I thought of a skill for each class, because I thought one skill for all would be boring and all skills for all classes would be overpowered.

Vanguard, biotic planet charge.
