If you get this error, simply delete the contents of /dragonage/packages/core/override/toolsexport/YOURMODULE

Do "Post All to Local" afterwards, from Single Player module and it should succeed!

Any other issues with this, just ask - the above solution should work however.

Have you tried deleting the level's erf file and clearing the DALightmap folder (forget the path but I think you can look it up by going to Options and level editor) and then, re-rendering?

Ok, I deleted the level .erf file and its temp .erf file. I also deleted the level lightmap folder in /DragonAge/Toolset/LvlWorkspace/Lightmaps.
Did a full re-render, took 50minutes and it seemed to go fine, until I turned on lightmaps in the editor and alas, spammed with the same errors as above :(

There must be 40 lines or so with "Unable to find Lightmap for chunk terrain"..
I tried posting to "Post All to Local" and it listed "Failed to get tree lightmap value for position xyz" a tonne of times and then when it finished, a few more errors. Screenshot below of the failed local post errors.

I'm not having this trouble in any other level, so here's hoping this one aint corrupt or borked or something.

Anymore idea's?

Edit: I found the actual folder you initially meant, Timelord (DALightmap) and deleted its content, so doing another render now. Wish me luck!

Edit edit: No luck I'm afraid... STILL the same problem! Sad panda. Pizza time.

I'm not sure if this will help, but I resolved similar issues by taking the following steps:

1) Open a new or different module

2) Open the .lvl file and File -> Save As -> save it to the art folder in the new module.

3) Render Lightmaps and Do all local posts.

If it works then delete all traces of that level from the original module and copy the files from the new module over. Not sure it will work but worth a shot, good luck!

Ok, I followed the steps you posted, Midnight, thanks for that.

After rendering the lightmaps, I toggled them on and it gave me no errors like before! Awesome me thinks.

However, this is not in the Singleplayer module so the lighting was botched up, with black spots everywhere, but at least the terrain chunks are receiving lightmaps properly now. This leads me to think that there is a directory problem with the Singleplayer module, so I still need to figure that one out.

Onto a bigger problem. I then posted all to local after adding a waypoint and generated pathfinding, but if failed.
Below is a screengrab of the errors I got:

So where do I go from here? I cant make any sense of these, theyre pretty vague.

Thanks for the help so far, really appreciated.

Edit: I found the only post from a someone with the same problem. However he seems to discover that the only way to fix this is to start a new level, copy over the objects and then match the terrain as much as possible? Please god no. Please tell me I doesn't have to end like this..

there's something going terribly wrong with your toolset. maybe you should reinstall your os. do you chose a cryptic username for windows with special characters?

Nope, just my name, "Paul" for windows username. Currently re-installing the toolset, python, SQL, everything.. hopefully it solves it =/

Bah!

Made a copy of my .lvl file, deleted all traces of Toolset (I think? How many bloody directories does this thing use?? Its saving files all over the place :<) and re-installed everything bar Windows.

Obviously started with no modules, so created a new one, opened my level file, all seemed fine. Rendered lightmaps, then got hit with " 'Unable to find Lightmap for chunk terrain" spam all over again, so back to square one.

Not to mention the exact same Post All to Local errors as above.

Totally stumped here, anyone that can shed some light? Is my .lvl broken or something? I don't want 200 hours to go to waste.

Ok, success somewhat!! After fiddling around with just about everything, I managed to render the level in Single Player module, but with a default Area Properties. I did a Post All to Local, seemed to work fine, but I did get 1 error - Addin.xml, cannot read? But it posted successfully anyway.

I then copied the folder from the override directory across to my addin folder and imported it into a new Area. No trees... and the water was totally borked looking. Plus there was a tonne of black splodges all over the terrain.

Annnnnyway, I managed to export it and I ran the game and the module is there! Ok, still a tonne of issues to resolve, but all models and terrain is there and it looks just how I want it to look. So for now, I'm delighted, but time to tackle the other problems one by one.

Its just such a pain that a render takes 1 hour a pop! Anyway, if any of the above issues seems familiar, lemme know.

Thanks!

An evening of BAH! Its so complicated. Deleted everything related to lightmaps, started afresh. I rendered lightmaps in MyModule. Then I rendered light probes and pathfinding. Saved the file, closed it and opened the Singleplayer module. I actually did a Post To Local, which succeeded.. Great I thought, I then posted trees to local, succeeded too. Looked in the Singleplayer/override folder and discovered there was no folder there whatsoever. What the?

Did a Post All to Local then, to see if that would resolve it. No luck.. Bloody same fail error as before.

Doesn't make much sense. Perhaps it has something to do with my Area Properties? Considering I got the level in (minus trees/broken water) earlier, using a different Area Properties, could this be the case? The error seems to be - Processing failed of the following job: (win32) layout mmh conversion to gff. What are the mmh/gff files?
Help :(
