I just installed the deluxe downloadable version of Dragon Age for the Mac, and I see that there are three downloadable files from the BioWare website that say they are for the PC / Mac -- they are dazip files.  Is there a way to install these on my Mac -- how, please?

The short answer is there is no way to install those add-on files for the Mac.

I'm not sure where you saw files that said they were for both PC and Mac, as the only mention of the Mac version is this:

"Not available as a separate download for the Mac version of Dragon Age: Origins."

The major problem is that the mac version is far behind the PC version as far as updates go.

You may be able to install Return to Ostagar and the Feastday Gifts and Pranks and dazip files from Dragon Age Nexus using a great program called Modazipin. However add-ons that rely on changes from resent patches will not work properly if all. Just read the (FAQ) Answers to some Mac Questions post in this forum. As it describes the steps necessary.

Your only option is to wait and hope for a patch from Transgaming, or download the PC version as described in the (FAQ) Answers to some Mac Questions post and use bootcamp to play Dragon Age Origin and all its expansions and add-ons in Windows.

Thank you for the answer to my post. I had looked in "Profile / Your Registered Game Promotions)" and in the third column labeled "Platform" states "PC/Mac" next to those three downloads. I have the PC version installed on a disk with Windows 7 64-bit, but I wanted to try it on my Mac Pro and also the MacBookPro laptop running OSX 10.6.4 -- Apple has not yet released BootCamp drivers for the new MacBook Pro 17" for Windows 7 and the mouse trackpad does not work correctly. I started the game last night and should be finished playing it in about three to five years, give or take a few days. I don't have much free time, and I'm not a very good gamer even when I have free time.
