I can't really notice the difference in cooldown reduction for my vanguard. Does anyone notice a difference?

Even if the cooldown isn't noticeable, it's better for insanity than shields or health helmet, that's for sure.

I don't think you'll ever notice 5%. Especially since the math rounds in a way that's not in your favor.

If a cooldown is 6 seconds, then the visor only takes off a fraction of a second, which when rounded means it does nothing (reducing 6 to 5.7 seconds).

If you use it to boost passive cooldonws then you start to notice it as the cooldown then comes closer to 4 seconds.

By itself, though, it's completely useless. As are most armor pieces. It should have been a 25% cooldown especially as paid dlc... but then i guess some would cry about it being too powerful.

So cooldowns are actually rounded? I never knew that. Where did you get this info? If that is true then there is no point in the archon visor later on.

If you have the 20% cooldowns for biotic and tech powers, wouldn't the 5% faster cooldown from the archon visor total up to 25%? Because if it was the case, then you should see some difference

I found the difference most noticable on my assault sentinel playthrough, due to the 12 seconds base cooldown of the spammed skill.

All in all, relying on headgear that doesn't have enviromental protection isn't recommended, as you'll be a sad panda during some missions that force a helmet on you. :)

It's noticeable, especially on long cooldowns. Most notable if you use powers to reload trick your weapons.

If it is true that cooldowns are rounded then the archon visor is useless on a Vanguard. For example, Charge has a 6 sec cooldown and with the Champion bonus reduction of 15% and biotic reduction of 20% the cooldown is reduced to 3.9 sec which when rounded is 4 sec. Even with the extra 5% the archon visor gives it only reduces the cooldown to 3.6 sec which again when rounded is 4 sec.

Now that I think about, if cooldowns are rounded then the Champion skill is useless. Because with the 9% cooldown reduction Destroyer gives plus the biotic reduction, Charge's cooldown is reduced to 4.2 sec which when rounded is still 4 sec.

But my main question now is, are cooldown really rounded and if so can you provide proof?

It's great for sentinels. Reduces the recharge time for tech armor by 0.6 seconds. Gameplay wise it doesn't matter really. I've done well enough without it, but for powers that have long recharge times like tech armor, it's indeed noticeable.

Is that true? Because if it is destroyer would be a hell of a lot better.
