Explain.

Hell, I explained it and you still said that wasn't anywhere near good enough. We can only lead you so far to water.

Dude: good writing is clear.  And.  Concise.  That's all!  All I want.  On characters, plot, exposition, etc.

What they tell you is ****.  You can't make sense of it.  I think I know what they're trying to say, but it's so bloody unclear.

I do not recommend Finnegans Wake.

No, I'm not saying ME2 is like Finnegans Wake. Not even close.

Just don't give into him. He's looking to get a rise out of everyone to have them pay attention to his anger towards the quality of the game. He won't listen to people willing to agree with him so far or with people who can bring up equally valid points that could explain what is going on just as equally as he argues against it.

Let him be angry and ignore him. Eventually if we do it long enough, when he realizes he's not getting a rise out of anyone he'll stop. If not, just continue to ignore him. He just is too much of a bother to listen to.

True. One can't ban a chronic whiner either.

James Joyce is the greatest author ever.

Additionally, I would not recommend The Sound and the Fury.  That's Finnegans Wake on drugs.

Hardly.  They assign that book in high school Honors English classes.   To ninth graders, even.  If you want something that's more in the ballpark of "Finnegan's Wake on drugs", read William S. Burroughs'  Cut-Up stuff.  He was actually on drugs when he wrote much of it.

I've found Faulkner to be one of the most confusing writers in English lit.  But hey he's just making a joke.

You know maybe smudboy is right and they should devote an entire mass effect book to explaining exactly how the doctor and joker got there then they could through in some dlc about what ever happened to chief engineer adams....

smudboy you're making pretty obvious that you're just complaining for the sake of complaining. There's absolutely no good reason in this world why this thread is already at 4 pages.

Numerous people have CLEARLY EXPLAINED the situation and background for both characters.

If you can't see that then the problem lies with you.

The problem does lie with me: I know the reasons. I cannot think they're reasonable, logical, and they contradict the behavior of another character.

About the original post: Well it is a rather cool sounding voice so I can understand it if many game creators want to use it.
About Chackwas as a chararacter in Shepards story: She have much more personality than most side characters so therefore I am glad she is on board. And besides Shepard needs to have a skilled doctor on board considering his/her career.
The fact that the ships crew is in great health considering the dangers they face means that she pulls her wieght both as a member of the team andd as a part of the plot. The work of medics, engineers, maintenance crew and such professions are never noticed much unless when they fail. And Chackwas hasn't failed Shepard yet.

She's like Joker's momma so she has to be there, but she's longingly thinking of Commander Anderson back on the citadel.

Then maybe you're unreasonable. Yeah, there's your problem.

Quite the opposite.  The peoples lack of reasoning cannot clarify said reasons.

Ah, we've moved past snide insinuations and dismissal and on to play-acting the unassailable objective arbiter of quality. This is always my favorite part.

Marcus Fenix should come into this topic and curb-stomp it, too much whining.

The whole Delta is needed now.... Of course poor Carmine will die with an "heroic death", but this thread would be cleansed and we could discuss if the Locust Horde is a possible ally in ME3.

But Dr. Chakwas VA IS the same VA that voiced the Locust Queen, and this thread is derailed anyway, just let it die or get locked....
