 Very trivial for me to bring up, but its bugging me.

No, not her hair. But that everyone I talk to who has played DAO finds it odd that her hair's different.

"Oh, that's not Leliana. I'm not buying the DLC unless they fix her hair."

"I don't recognize who that is. They should change her name."

I've heard things like this, and I've had to bring this up every time-

Remember in Leliana's quest in Denerim where you meet Marjolaine?

Did she not bring up that she couldn't understand why Leliana now changed her hairstyle?

Doesn't that automatically mean someone should accept the fact that GASP! Leliana wasn't born looking like that.

Just wondering if I'm alone here in being bothered by some people's fanatical obsession with a simple trivial detail such as this.

Leliana is a lot younger in the DLC....maybe that explains it. As long as her face hasn't changed i don't care what hairstyle she has. I want the DLC to play as her...not her hair.

I expect not only to see her with a different hairstyle but also with a different personality

I really expect to see a very different person from the largest part of DLC and only when we'll be near the end of the story to begin to see the Leliana we all knew in DAO....

I just get sick and tired of people saying they aren't going to purchase the DLC because of something like the hairstyle of the main character.

Leliana is fine how she looks in the DLC.Ignore the people saying they wont buy iy because of nitpicky reason a and b.They are lying or was never planning on buying it in the first place.I could be wrong of course as i say sometimes.

Yeah, but people freak out if even the slightest change to their favorite character occurs.

I understand people being pissed off about Liara because that was a polar friggen shift.

But with Leliana, its just a hairdo.

People don't only change hairstyle during their life...

People also changes behaviours, personality, vision of the life, attitude.... What may happen during the life of person can radically change her forever...

I am quiet sure that after playing the DLC there will be also person who will say.. "In DLC she is a *****, oh, this means that she is an hypocrite and that she isn't really the person she pretend to be in Origins"...

Well...I am going to ignore also those comments...

The thing with Leli's hair is that Marjolaine said she cut it, so I presume it used to be longer. But in DLC it's still short and just put in a ponytail.

I don't mind her hair. I want Leliana in any form.

Indeed. People like that tend to annoy me, although only slightly. And the whining about the new hairdo? Dear Maker... You people never been to the barbershop or had your hair done in any way at all? It's quite fancy, been around for quite some time now and *le gasp* it provides you with the means of not having to walk around with the same boring look for the rest of your lives! *rant off*

I don't care about her hair. I love her anyways. But this new DLC is going to be interesting. We get to see who she was before the Chantry.

I'm going to get the content, but I can actually understand why people are complaining about the hairstyle change. Yes, people change over time, but Leliana is a fictional character. Things like a character's outfit and their hairstyle tend to be so expressive of who the character is that changing them often denotes a radical change in character.



Which is exactly the intent here. You're not playing as Origins' Leliana, you're playing Leliana the bard. And while they're the same "person," they're distinctly different characters. Some people don't like that. Not that it'll stop the rest of us who want to see Leliana's past from enjoing the DLC.

 It's not so much the change in hair style that confuses me... it's just that I was fairly certain that her hair was more girly in Orleis. (As part of being a bard).

I actually like that they changed her hair. It would be odd if she looked exactly the same several years ago as she does now, imo.

Complaining about her hair seems a little silly. XD
