Last month I was stuck with only the cc for 4 weeks. I feel your pain.

Not to say it's impossible to make a great char in the cc. LadyAly is an expert at it, but I do find it quite restricting now as there are lots of things I would want to do but just wouldn't have the options.

You wouldn't imagine how often I have sat here and discarded one design after the other... Patience is what's needed - and if you're on PC a couple of mods and presets from the Nexus (some of them also work with the CC^^)

@mochen Thank you  :kissing:

But yes I find it quite easy to make a Char in CC.
But to be honest I am using some great mods - like VirusCat's blen/nonBlend - or DA face presets for CC by ZenSee. Also more hairstyles and Bidelle's and some more.
So - really not much work to create a good Char even in CC.

Patience and keeping at it will help.

Naw, it ain't that hard, as long as you're willing to stare at the screen for a while. It gets easier with time.

Probably my biggest complaint with the vanilla CC is that all you can seemingly create is a "concerned, indifferent, or snooty male PC. Which works, but at the same time is kinda restricting.

Or course, one should probably ask: "What are your standards?"

Well sence you got some praise, would you mind if I saw some of your chars?

I completely agree with you, Thats my main problem with making a cousland. They always end looking very upity and snooty. LIke you said it isnt a bad think but its limiting.
My standerds at least for playing a cousland is solid family resambalence.

I whipped up this Cousland using the first preset in a couple of minutes. I think I see a bit o' Fergus in there. I couldn't really take any screenshots of him standing next to Fergus because I use DA Redesigned.

Hm, maybe you could try to make him have a nose like his mother. You probably can't see it there but I gave him green eyes to make it look like he inherited her eyes.

I use the guy that Bioware uses in their trailers. I figure, if it's good enough for them then it's good enough for me

I don't know how to use toolset neither. Just got the patient... 1 hr and u think too long? heh no offense but you really have to dive yourself deeper. My first cc was a whole afternoon, quite satisfying.

However, after few days of playing I found the nexus site and whoa... got the more hairstyles, eye colors blablabla... and spent another afternoon for my 2nd cc, and so here it is in my portrait :)

After migrating from win x pro 32bit to 7 ultimate 64bit the toolset no
longer runs, no matter what  - that was some months ago, so yes, I feel that pain
as well.

I've supposedly tried each and every advice available via google search
so any enlightment is welcome here, via pm as well.

I have that problem sometimes when I install the toolset. What is the error that you are getting?

The most common for me was the toolset setup wasn't creating a folder(can't remember which). Also a few times I just downloaded all of the seperate components, installed them w/their updates, then installed the toolset on top. Make sure you run all of the installers (or if just installing the toolset) as admin.
Also if it just an error like "cannont connect to database" try this.

Sometimes it works and sometimes I have to do all of these crazy trouble shooting things.

Open up the windows tab, in the search bar type Services
Then go into it, and scroll down to where it says SQL Server (BWADTOOLSET) if isn't running, then right click on it, and under properties under Setup Type tell it to go to Automatic. Then click start.
