I've give a try to the demo of ME2, because I've enjoyed ME1 but according to the box: I don' t have the min required to play:
So, the game (with low settings) is playable on my old P4 2.8Ghz. In my opinion it could be very playable BUT the audio during the intro cinematic is not sync with image. as I read on this forum, the bink movies give a lot of headache to a lot of people, so here's two questions:
-could you help us by making a patch with low res movies? In fact if the game itself is playable, I would really enjoy the story even if the movies are in low res.

-comparing to the Demo, is there bigger situation to handle by CPU, I mean, if the demo is as smooth as the game on my computer, I could buy it and have fun.

(sorry for any mistakes in the post, it's not my native langage)

There is essentially zero to perhaps half of one percent interaction coming back from any Bioware people in this forum.  Read the subtiles on top.  This is for User to User technical advice, discussion, and suggestions.

Single Core CPUs are officially not supported. They already fixed a lot of problems regarding Single Core CPUs with Patch 1.01 even if they didn't have to.

Oh, on my AMD Athlon 3200+ Single Core CPU, i don't have any problems with audio skipping or out of synch in videos.

I don't know which content of the game is used for the demo, but i was able to play through the game without any problems since the 1.01 Patch.

AMD Athlon XP 3200+

2GB DDR1-400 RAM

Geforce 6800GT 256MB AGP with 191.27 drivers.

Gorath: ah oook, but they lock the technical support of the old ME forum, :/ not very good news.

Recnamoken: many thanks to share you experience, so I guess my trouble are on my side.. maybe I should update the graphic drivers

There never was any ME-2 Technical Discussions forum on the Legacy forums, before ME-2 went gold.  There was an ME-1 Tech Forum, but just the same as this one, within no more than two weeks after release, almost all BW feedback is withdrawn.  That's the way they have alwasy done it.  Tech on their site is strictly gamers.  NWN and NWN2 were supported by Atari, officially.  KotOR was supported by LucasArts.  Both MEs are EA.

Roughly when ME-2 went to the printer, a combined ME-1 and ME-2 general Subjects forum was created here on the social forums site, and that was expanded after the release.  The Legacy forums were locked at the same time.
