That "sounds" was them commenting on it. The information from M$ was quoted. So what now?

These articles are from Nov and Dec of 2009.  You're quoting obsolete information.

We have a little info on the M-29 Incisor rifle, and an unkown armor.  We have DLC that expands ME2.  The most recent statement, was made about DLC that bridges ME2&3, (this could be expansion).  This is the most recent information that we have to go by.

By your logic then, why do we even have history books? If they're from hundreds of years ago, they must be obsolete

Do you think before you post? Or is it just a spur of the moment thing?

History books are (more or less) accurate accounts of things that happened in the past. Info for a product (video game, book, whatever) gets updated regularly. So yeah, you should go by the more recent info.

That's one of the worst analogies I've ever heard in my life. And yeah,
it doesn't make any sense.

Take your own advice and think before you post.

Incorrect and flawed analogy.  History is what was, that does not change.

Business models, marketing, sales, strategies, etc., do change.

You should take you're own advice, and think before you post.

And we'd assume that it was an announcement after all...

LOL, that made my day!

Ahem, your creativity, I mean.

I figured.  Eh, mods probably shouldn't be spouting off speculation as if it were fact.  Even if Jav has been right in the past . . . . eh, whatever.

History doesn't change. Marketing does.

You should take your own advice and think before you post something such as that.

Any reason why anyone cares about a price drop?

Supposedly, it implies the game is worth "less" than games that stay full priced for longer periods of time.

Yanno, most of the video games I have are over a year old. It's a weird industry, one can get "game of the year" for half price at that age. Look at ME1 on sale for $5 just last week (bought it as prezzies for friends who hadn't joined the cult yet).

Anyway, in short, no worries about the price drop. It's normal in the game industry. The question is whether you'll have the patience to wait six months to buy ME3. I know I won't :D

Technically, the expansion is off topic and it should be about the price drop, but since this whole thread's been about the supposed expansion and Javi hasn't said anything, I guess that's the new "on topic discussion". lol

I went to the game store yesterday and Mass Effect 2 is on for summer sale (60% discount) for 14 euros. Costs the same as the Hannah Montana: The Movie game. I almost set the store on fire.

I just noticed the price drop.  I'd say it's too soon for a price drop, is ME2 struggling or something?  Or is 6 months about right for a discount?

For an RPG thats not too bad.
