And if anything, elevators > loading screens. I never complained about them.

Very true. I really hope we have them back in ME3, in an even better shape.Felfenix wrote...
To be honest, sometimes I just take the elevators because I enjoy them so much... I dunno why people hated them so much. That's what happens when people come to forums just to complain without thinking things through.

well I never really actually hated them, but those times you would go in them just to hear some banter or an journal update and your party nor the elevator says anything pisses me off. sometimes I ould pop ME1 back in just to ride the elevatorFelfenix wrote...

Now we're stuck with the same, boring loading screens during which we can't do anything.

Another thing that i like about the elevators in ME1 was that you could do things while the game was loading the destination. The Normandy boarding chamber/cargo elevator would continue loading when you're anywhere in the mission computer (inventory, journal or codex) and as soon as you exited the menu the next area would load.
I bet a lot of people don't know that.

yea Idk wth made them think that was a good ideaIrishSpectre257 wrote...
Elevators enhanced immersion. With loading screens, and especially the Mission Complete screen popping up whenever it wants, the player is constantly kicked out of the ME universe.

I didn't mind the elevators, I liked that your squad mates talked to eachother. That's something I miss in ME2, the banter. I know it's there, but your crew rarely interacts with eachother. That's something I'd dearly love to see in ME3.

More squad banter would be welcome though.

One word: No.
You don't get nostalgia over a two year old game.
Please end the usage of this ridiculous reason.

I supposed for short elevator rides that don't give time to load it, like on the Normandy, a loading screen is fine. Plus, there's nothing interesting in that elevator.
But I didn't care how long it took to take the elevator from the docking bay in the Citadel down to the C-Sec academy. I got to hear a conversation, and there was something to look at.
