I dislike the terms "loyal", "faithful", and "cheating". It's more of did you move on or not in my book.
For my three playthroughs so far, all of my femSheps have not moved on. They're still holding out for Kaidan - for one reason or another. I have a femShep in ME1 that I'm playing that will come through with no romance active that will be getting with Garrus. I also plan on making a maleShep that will likely romance anything with a skirt.

I have to agree with you there, Sapphy. It's much closer to moving on than staying loyal.

Watch your language, chief. This thread isn't about praising or bashing characters.

It's not "bashing". Ashley was rude and a racist....her attitude with everything can be classifed as witchy...

Anyways is it against the rules to curse here? If so sorry but I figured we're all adults here...

In ME1, I got it on with Ash.

In ME2, I got it on with Miranda.

Ash suggested we move on and the email even hinted that we were just friends. Bioware did good on the email. It was very vague and could be interpreted to mean it was over and at the same time not over.

Good setup for ME3, when Miranda and Ash step into the room. Remember the showdown in ME1 when you romanced both Liara and Ash. Only this time its much worse because you got jiggy with Miranda.

I romanced Ashley and romanced Tali in ME2. I plan to stay with Tali for ME3. :)

Ditto :P

I had stayed loyal to Ash and had planned to do so through the whole game until Horizon. After she turned her back on me I decided to take intrest in someone who would have my back.

Whats werid is I ended up with Tali. I did not like her at all in ME1, she was my least favorite character but something about her in ME2 really got me. I think its because she seemed more like a child in ME1 and in ME2 it almsot felt as if she had grown up.

Just for kicks though I'm playing through it again with the same char staying loyal to Ash this time so when ME3 comes out I can play both and see what difference there is just cuz of the LI.

No I didn't stay loyal to Liara and her ridiculous painted-on eyebrows. I love Liara and Ashley, but the chance to romance Tali and Miranda were far too enticing.

I have 4 characters staying faithful. Femshep with Liara, Manshep (Renegade) Ashley and ManShep (Paragon) Ashley, Manshep with Liara.

I also have 1 Manshep that didn't have a LI from ME 1 with Tali, 1 Manshep that cheated on Ashley for Miranda, 1 Manshep that cheated on Liara for Jack.

My main Femshep stayed loyal to Liara by default. She tried to get with Samara but the Justicar was having none of that. She would have stayed completely loyal to Liara but that reunion pull-away kiss made me think Liara was kind of over Shepard. I realize now that's probably not the case.

Yes. Cool and controlled Kaidan FTW. :-)

This is not to say I wasn't tempted by such delights as Garrus's reach and flexibility, or the soulful talks with Thane. But my Shepard fell for Kaidan, and she's gonna hold out for him no matter how much sexy temptation Bioware dangles in front of her!

I guess I stayed faithful. I never pursued anyone in ME2 after having Liara in ME1.

It was more a lack of choices than anything else though.

Stayed Loyal to Ashley in both my playthroughs. From where I stood I understand perfectly why she was upset on Horizon given the love of her life had just suddenly walked back into her life after believing him to be gone for good and she now had to accept the fact that he was alive again and now working for Cerberus.

I didn't blame her for not simply leaping into Shepard's arms the second she saw him return.

Besides she still emails and apologizes later, it's not much but it's something and it was enough to keep me motivated to see what the future holds. Besides I liked Ashley, and I rate her romance higher than any of the ones in Mass Effect 2 for reasons I won't go into detail here.

But yeah, Ashley is the girl for my Shepard. Completely.

Of course..
Earthborn, 70renegade/30 paragon femshep.

she "opened" my femsheps eyes in so many ways :-)
and no one went such lenths to prove her dedication as Liara (see the comic book as well). others just "moved on" after we saved them contless times their butts and would have permitted sheps body to be delivered to the collectors which would have really be a worst case scenario for shep.

thus, Liara++
hope to find her finally more responsive with the new DLC

<_<

Another one of these?!

*sigh*

Ashley isn't racist. A racist is someone who hates or fears other cultures on the basis that they are different or because the person considers 'their' race to be superior to all others or that all others should be instantly and completely distanced from.

That doesn't fit Ashley at all. She doesn't hate aliens based on the fact that they are a different species, she doesn't 'hate' aliens at all. She just distrusts them for a number of reasons, mostly the fact that her grandfather was the first human to surrender to an alien race and hence her family name is blacklisted in Alliance military and thus she has spent most of her life serving crummy groundside assignments with little to no experiance working with other races and only her family's history to go on.
That's why she DISTRUSTS aliens.

That said, she still doesn't think humanity should turn down the Council and other alien races as allies, just that they need to be able to stand on their own two feet as they shouldn't rely on them staying allies. She also doesn't think humanity should 'mistreat' alien races and actually says that she doesn't believe humanity is 'superior'. She flat out despises the policies and ideologies of Terra Firma believing they take things way too far. She also compliments and gets along well with Tali as can be evidenced by some of the elevator conversations where she says that she heard some humans are angry at the Quarians for what happened on Eden Prime and then expresses her hope that by having Tali helping them find Saren that people will change their views on the Quarians. She also happily volunteers to assist the Salarians on Virmire and demonstrates that she can work with them comfortably and shows a great amount of respect to their skill and determination.

Finally if given the right dialouge options she can actually change her distrust on aliens completely and admit that it was the Alliance and not the Council who are responsible for her family name being blacklisted and she finally comes around, not only content but actually proud to be fighting alongside aliens and even highly trusting of the Council.

Also as for the 'rude' thing, yes it is true that she can get aggressive from time to time but given that she's a soldier that's to be expected. Marines generally have a tough and angry attitude, it comes from being trained by the military. That said she still makes friendly jokes among some of the crew members, when taken places with Wrex she and he occassionally exchange quips and she tends to be quite friendly to Shepard one way or another.

Also she has a clear compassionate side to her as well, when taken to see Samesh Bahtia about retrieving his wife (Who was a soldier in Williams's unit on Eden Prime) Nirahli's body Ashley is very comforting and caring to him and even takes the time (if you do the paragon thing anyway) to tell him how much his wife loved him.
Also even though she has some angry things to say to Liara, after her mother dies on Noveria Ashley tells Shepard that he should probably talk to her because she's just lost her mum and that's gotta hurt.

So yeah, in closing, not racist and can be aggressive but has a good side too and if you don't like her that's fine but you are not excused from acting out angrily at the idea of other people liking her.

I have a (female) Shepard for every romance, and then some. Since I only have one maleShep character (so far), Miranda and Ashley are out of luck. He fell for Jack pretty hard. If I ever play another maleShep, he'll go for Tali.

As for the whole "is it cheating" angle, I really don't think it is. Liara is perhaps the only grey area, since she at least kisses her love interest and doesn't call them a traitor, but Ashley and Kaidan make themselves very clear. Neither one of them has moved on properly, but they don't trust Shepard anymore, and they're the ones who walk away.

A person is basically as faithful as their options so...my femsheps stayed loyal to Liara.

Main maleshep stayed loyal to Ashley though it was a tough call, a few moved on to Miranda/Jack/Tali.
