Okay, after studying the classes thoroughly I've drawn up these conclusions (this is just ME 2 btw).





Miranda - Sentinel

Jacob - Vanguard

Mordin - Engineer

Garrus - Soldier

Jack - Vanguard

Grunt - Soldier

Samara - Adept

Morinth - Adept

Tali - Engineer

Legion - Infiltrator

Thane - Adept

Zaeed - Soldier

 

(And Kasumi I have no idea about since I haven't downloaded
her.)

But it would seem Garrus can't possibly be an Infiltrator because he has no abilities in common with Shepard (Infiltrator), and more incommon with the Soldier class (Ammo Abilities, Concussive Shot, etc). This is based off of which of Shepard's classes they are most like, of course others may have their own interpretations. While many consider Legion an Engineer, just because he has a Combat Drone doesn't make him an Engineer. Take into consideration Engineer's can NOT train with ARs or SRs simaltaniously, it is impossible, which makes him instantly more like an Infiltrator, besides, they both have AI Hacking in common as well. Tali's was easy, as was Jacob's and Miranda's. Grunt, and Zaeed, Soldier obviously. Samara and Morinth both Adepts according to the powers they share in commen with them. Jack is Vanguard, obviously. Thane possesses two abilities (Throw, and Warp) not available to a Vanguard, and because he has no Tech skills, this makes him an Adept with Sniper Rifle training. However, Tali is definitely similar to an Infiltrator with Shotgun training. Again this is Mass Effect 2. Garrus is definitely more like an Infiltrator in ME 1.

Kasumi would be closest to Infiltrator. Cloak stealth attack and overload, with a crowd control as loyalty.

He can use Pistols. Machine Pistols. If you mean Heavy Pistols, I agree.

She can be. Her flashbang can stun Harby, but she does have a slight tendency to kamikaze every so often (so very unlike everyone else then ).
