i don't get why so many people are complaining about it already its not even out yet!!!
The entire DA2 discussion forum is a *waste* of time. All it contains is b*tching and useless speculation about a game that's still months away from release. Thankfully, it has sucked up most of the whiners from this forum.
some people can read and think. they set in comparison what bioware did in the past and make their assumptions. long before bioware announced that there won't be race customization and voiced lines they guessed that exactly this will happen... big surprise, later it was announced. in the end da2 will likely be an action driven game with lots of fights and less roleplay. yes, there still will be dialogues and choices but in no comparison to a real crpg.

Oh, ye of little faith . . . David Gaider has already confirmed that there will be additional expansions for DA:O of the same scale as Awakening. With that in mind, new bugs are bound to crop up and hence, the need for patch 1.05. Let's be a little more positive . . . life is good and this game is only a distraction - remember that!
Other expansions for Origins were confirmed? Sweet. I missed that.
By the way, anyone know what time they usually post the Friday updates?

so far I remember him or another staff member confirming new dlc.
Edit: not sure it was David Gaider at all... browsing the boards...

I bet everyone who spends time on this board but says there not going to get the game already have it preorderd.
No ME2 or DA:A or post-release DLC for me until DA:O gets fixed, just as I posted months ago. So, not everyone, it seems.

I'll jump on the bandwagon asking for a link...I know Priestly mentioned more patching and DLC but another expack was just a hope in my head, I thought...

Usually late in the day, their time. That is, if we get an update at all....

People like to **** and play the martyr, online. Been happening since forums existed and happens on every game forum, no matter how good the game is, there is always a vocal minority who complain.
Want some real fun? Visit the Total War series forums. LOL...then you will see some hardcore whining. You would think people have better things to do all day then to play and/or post about video games that they apparently can't play. Pathetic, if you ask me...
Sure, people lie. It's the internet. How are you going to know? If I tell you that I haven't bought any DLC since RtO , haven't bought Awakenings and won't EVER be buying it new if at all, and that I'm really not interested in DA2 from what I've seen you're basically going to have to take my word for it. But obviously you both already know everything I'm thinking so what's the point?
On the second issue, the reason I spend time on this board isn't because I dislike the game. I happen to LOVE the content of DA:O, however I really consider the technical quality to be poor. In fact as many of the people here, I've been a Bioware supporter for well over a decade. I stick around because the people in these forums are generally intelligent, interesting, and for the most part coherent (even if like me, some of them like to be confrontational).
Finally, I'm curious as to how old you both are. Not because I'm trying to berate you but rather because unless you're an adult with a 40+ hour work week you won't understand why we "don't have better things to do." Sometimes, you have tons of work to do. And sometimes there's downtime at work. When there's downtime, I amuse myself by coming here (and checking out the news, etc.). It's not like I can leave and go play DA:O. I'M AT WORK!

I'd be a bit disappointed if we don't get an update this week. I mean, I understand that the Lelian's Song came out this week, and the big DA2 announcement was yesterday, but still, i hope that we get our patch update.

It's quite the opposite for most people, who have legitimate issues with the game. If they didn't like it they could simply say f*ck it, and go sell it. People are upset becasue this game has recieved little to no support for almost nine months now, some people can't play the game because of constant crashes, some have lost hundreds of hours, and some just hit too many bugs. People can have problems with game and still enjoy it, but it's getting it to work properly so you can enjoy it that is the issue. As for pre-ordering, I won't make the same mistake I made with this game again, the last dlc I bought was RtO and I really don't plan on buying anything else until this patch is released. DA2 is going to be a wait and see game, it really is better to wait a bit to see how it runs, how many/what kind of bugs etc.

Well, Wicked, I'm 50+, have a "real job", and have enjoyed every minute of DA despite it's problems. I have every DLC (except "The One That Must Not Be Named") and have posted my (generally very favorable) opinions of them all over on DANexus.Wicked 702 wrote...

I, too, am a BioWare fan since the original BG days, and have yet to be "disappointed", in the sense of "won't ever give those guys my pseudobucks again!" I'll admit that the 1.03 patch fiasco had me fuming, and would probably have soured me for a considerable time had I not found a hack (in the old-school sense) that fixed the game-breaking CtD issue and let me continue to play. And not just continue, but to add DA:A, Leliana's Song, and hopefully, whatever else the DLC team provides between now and DA2!
Sooooo... some of us are having a blast, some of us are waiting for fixes, and some of us have given up. ALL valid choices, just different ones.
