Well, the reality is, sometimes I don't catch what things are suppose to be there and are not. How about we get into specifics a little, how about you give me the three biggest problems with the game. I've heard a lot about people saying it's messed up, but I just haven't really noticed it. What three story/plot problems does the game screw up? You can include that ending that I apparently haven't done...
Personally my game crashes to desktop every 5/10 minutes. And before someone asks, my hardware is way above the recomended specs on every field, I update all my drivers regularly, all my fans run smoothly, I keep my hard disk defragged and I have about 200 gigs of free space. I have one of the best antivirus/firewall combos available (and yes, deactivating it when I play doesn't help), every one of the MANY other PC games I play (besides Silent Hunter 5, but that's another mighty sloppy game QA-wise) run without any major issues, so no, it isn't my computer's fault.
Then there are countless quest continuity bugs, quests that don't trigger, quests that don't give the proper rewards or the proper dialogue options, there are several ending bugs regarding Alistair. In some conditions even if he's alive and well during the ending he doesn't appear and Anora talks about him as he was the one that sacrificed himself (despite the player having given in to Morrigan's dark pact), in other cases, with Alistair NOT chosen as king, he'll just suddenly decide that no, him being excluded isn't fair, and he's actually king.
The worst part is that lot of those ending problems exist since the release of the game and WILL often carry into awakenings.
There are plenty more, and I encourage you to help yourself with the tech support forums, they're all listed there.

I havent run into any of these "major" problem people seem to talk about, maybe thats because I look after my PC keep my HD clean and I make sure my hardware is compatable before installing it. Im not saying its solely the players fault, but a fair bit of it could be solved this way.
Sorry, but it doesn't work like that. As long as a computer is above the minimum requirements and it includes all the updated drivers, it's the developer's responsibility to make the game work with every configuration.
That's what "minimum requirements" notices are for.

Ever hear of Closed Beta testing? It's
quite common with MMO's to ensure that serious bugs don't make it into
the final release product; it's also something that can happen with
PC-only games to make sure that the game itself, and any patches, cause
as few problems as possible. I'm not trying to justify all the issues
with DA, mind you.
I didn't just hear of them, I've been in more closed betas (and alphas actually) than I can count since the time of Ultima Online. Basically none of them ever managed to prevent major gamebreaking bugs and issues to sneak into the final product.
No beta, even the largest stress tests can really simulate the impact of an actual full sized retail community against a MMORPG game.
If Bioware's TOR QA team will be even slightly similar to that of Dragon Age, the crowd of wow-lovers will eat them alive and spit them in tatters. Having a popular IP like Star Wars won't help one bit, we all known where Star Wars Galaxies has gone.
@BrunoB1971: you're comparing apples to oranges. You might as well pull out an Hitler analogy so we can talk about Godwin's law.
Bioware isn't the government, Game developers aren't surgeons.
Supreme Commander 2 and Red Alert 3 might have needed several patches to be brought up to speed, but their developers didn't roll out continuous DLCs to grab more revenue, prioritizing them over patching.
There's a world of difference there.
