So I've been playing through Mass Effect 2 and all has been well up until this point, but at a particular loading screen,

SPOILER: The loading screen immediately after completing the IFF mission and getting the rundown of the mission itself, as you board the Normandy, END SPOILER

the loading screen hangs. And it hangs in such a way where I can't alt+tab out, or use CTRL ALT DEL, or use any other technique to get out of the screen besides cutting power to my computer.

I looked around these forums already for a solution but wasn't able to find one that fit the problem. Thanks in advance, if anyone can help me out.

Nevermind this thread, I solved it, though because of the solution I have absolutely no idea what the problem was. All I did was download the five free Cerberus Network DLCs, did the missions within, tried it again, and bam, got through that one pesky screen just fine and finished the game.



Still can't figure out what was wrong, though.
