This new Halo:Reach video has me hankering for some Space Combat in ME3. Think of the possibilities!
I mean, the Reapers are very very large, it seems improbable that 1 man can take them all down via 3rd person shooting. A bit of space action seems very probable. Give us a fighter on board the normandy!
You could use the fighter above planets on escort missions, defense missions and offense missions... It'd be awesome.
It'd also be a great excuse to bring back all those awesome sky boxes that the UNC planets had in ME1. They were beautiful. Even though i didn't miss the empty planets, I did miss the views.
If that can't happen then at least give us a turret on the normandy so we can participate in the battles a little bit!
Basically, there's going to be space battle action in ME3, the story requires it. So rather than it all being cutscenes, let us participate!
Thoughts?
Also: this in the mass effect universe would be amazing

So, apparently Casey has said in an interview they'd like to have combat at some point in the trilogy. Well, that only really leaves DLC or ME3, so bring it on i say.

For the Devs, if they happen to come across this thread at all:
Having been playing Rogue Squadron recently, there's 1 thing that you really need to include. A decent HUD with Target Highlight toggle.
Dogfighting in above land is great, you have a horizontal plane to stay aligned to and the ground and sky give you a point of reference, also, enemies are easy to spot.
In space, there's no point of reference, and spotting grey/black fighters on a black background is a right pain in the ass. So, all i ask is give the Y button over to target highlight.
That's all really. Bring on the space combat!
