Apaprently this mission is
very important story-wise, so who should I bring along for the best story? I'd like to
use Wrex for a part of it, because he is amazingful and I haven't used
him in a astroy mission so far (i believe there is one more planet aftrer
virmre, then the finale?)
Ummm, I know this is in the spoiler forum but I'd appreciate it if you didn';t give away any of tthe plot, thankyou. I just want to get the most out of this playthrough by using the right squad ^__^

Hmm, how to put this in the least spoiling way? Well you'll have a few opportunities to change teams so you're not stuck with the first squad. What is important is not who you take along with you in the heart of the mission but the decisions you make during it.

Saying this in the least spoilery way:



Virmire will offer the ability to change squad members while you are there. It will certainly give you interesting story moments related to your squad, so you'll be happy.



And about the last planet/finale team. Keep in mind you won't be able to change teams there - the team you choose for the last story planet is the team that you'll play the finale with.

Uninitnetionally I ended uo with a really good team for the finale, Liara and Garrus. I was planjing to swithc to someone else after Ilos but in ther end it was perfect

That is always my party for Ilos/Citadel.  It always gives me goosebumps when Shepard looks like he gets smashed by debris and Anderson finds the team.  Its so fitting that Liara (who is always my LI) stares off so sad as Anderson comforts her, while Garrus is being pulled from the rubble distraught over his mentor's apparent death.... Anyone else for this scene just feels wierd to me.... guess I just did it too many times this way that it feels like the way it should be....

Trying not to spoil the payoff, but the first part of the mission was pretty Geth heavy, so I chose Tali and Garrus for my infiltration team.

In the least spoiler-ish way...

Wrex for sure. definantly need to have him in your squad.
As for your other party member, It doesn't really matter. I always brought Garrus just because he is so much of a bamf.

EDIT: for my Ilos / citadel team I usually pick garrus and then whoever I did the romance subplot with.

Personally I brought Ashley and Wrex but that's largely just because they are my favorites so by default I always take them with me to places, plus I wanted both of them to survive and I felt the best way to do that was to have them as close as possible.



But still whoever you like the most I'd say bring along.

let's just say, check your paragon/renegade before you go.

You get to change your squad multiple times on Virmire, once at the beginning prior to landing, after meeting up with the salarians, and near the end at the bomb site. Personally, I always start out with Ashley and Kaidan, then Kaidan and Wrex, then Wrex and Garrus/Tali.

Tali and Garrus for the Virmire river run.

Kaiden/Ashley & Liara for the first stage of the assault Wrex and Garrus for stage two.

Certain lines of dialog only make sense IMHO if I do it that way.

As for Ilos, Garrus & Liara --- Liara wanting to play twenty questions with Vigil becomes even more meaningful by the time the events of ME2 roll around.
