Nope, this time I decided to do as many side quests as I can before going anywhere after Therum and some new dialogs appeared. From squad conversations in ME1 I could learn interesting things about ME universe. From conversations in ME2 I can learn about personal problems of my squadmates.

Pardon me if you don't mind my asking, how many main story planets did you complete in conjunction with the sidequests? I'm looking at at least 63 entries total, including Bring Down the Sky and Pinnacle Station, and at least a good number of them (roughly 40+ sidequests, and of course the Noveria and Feros news reports) take up the majority of the elevator rides in my experience, and since I've done that many side missions, my chances of talking to the squadmates are more or less out the window.

You are right, things could go bad, but if thermal clips are protecting you from sabotage... well, something is not right then. Moreover, I'm not against thermal clips, they are OK, I just think that weapons should cool down even if you don't have a thermal clip around.

I should have said this in my last post, and I wholeheartedly agree with you in this. I would have prefered the regular weapons overheating while the ammo for the heavy weapons is limited myself.

I suppose I've been unclear. What I was trying to say is that not only main quests are unlocking new dialogs. They aren't appearing after every mission (probably after every other... can't be sure, though). For example, I have done Therum and about dozen of side quests. At some point Tali asked me if we are close to the end right now... but I haven't done anything yet (besides getting Liara). So I am rather sure that she will run out of her dialogs soon. Of course some dialog options will appear only after main quests (different dialog with Ashley/Kaidan after each main quest, dialog with Liara after Noveria, etc) or special side quests (krogan armor, dr Saleon, geth data, etc). That said, generic dialogs (ie Ashley family story, Kaidan story, talks about quarians, krogans, asari or C-Sec, etc) are not triggered in any particular way and can be used up sooner or later, depending on how much are you bugging your mates.

But still, when I sum it all up, I believe in ME1 there were more dialogs with squad mates than in ME2, that's what I was talking about and what I miss :)

Sadly, a straight count of dialog between the games reveals this to be incorrect. Ecael's done the homework. It may seem like it because there are twice as many squadmates, but there is simply more spoken dialog in ME2.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you were only refering to the elevator conversations.

Aside from the squad armor? Nothing really. We had a lot of conversation in ME2 as well, and the loading screens didn't bother me at all. (I always hated going back to the Normandy and waiting for the decontamination to finish.)

The Mako was a joke, I actually like the planet scaning better. Mostly because there is a point to it. You try to upgrade your ship and you need the resources. Why the hell was Shepard collecting Iridium in ME1? Didn't he have a galaxy to save? Can you imagine the marines looking for new oil fields in Iraq?

I also think that the thermal clips added some ammount of realism. Unlimited ammo like in ME1? No thx.

Well, I was thinking about conversations per squadmate. So in that case, even if overall amount of conversations is bigger, it doesn't mean that every squadmate is more talkative. In fact I expect exact opposite... Do you know where could I find this comparison? Does it cover only squadmates conversations on Normandy or all game dialogs?

Navigation of the galaxy map.

The little ship was a fun novelty at first...but I miss just pointing and clicking, it was a lot more efficient.

-Teammate armor
-Navigation of the map (Point and Click)
-RPG Upgrades (I had the sickest pistol in the world! Highest Proton Rounds, Extension Rail, and Heat sink, by the end, it did the original damage, bypassed 50% of kinetic barrier, and only over heated 4% faster, so awesome!!!!)
-Who wants squadmates that also dress down on the ship. Why would shep be the only one that doesn't keep his armor on.? They did it a little in ME1, thought People like Tali should have to dress up and down you know?

I miss being able to dismantle enemies with weapon powers. Turning them into slushy goo, all that ultraviolence.

I hope ME 3 really brings the violence, none of this pseudo-PG-13 crap.

I miss the ability to customize my weapons. The ability to shoot everyone to space with explosive rounds and two scram rails on the spectre sniper was awesome

In no particular order:

-All 4 squadmates that weren't squadmates in ME2 but especially Wrex and Liara.
-The Mako and landing on planets. (not so much now that the Hammerhead is out)
-Conversations/news reports in elevators.
-Bigger Citadel area.

I do think ME2 is alot better, but if I had to choose some things I missed it would be...

-The level cap. ME2s' is ridiculously low.
-Being able to get XP from EVERYTHING including looking out windows and talking to Wrex about the Genophage.
-Wrex. Even through Him (along with Tali and Garrus) had the best returns in ME2, I still want him back on the squad.
-Ridiculously over-ranged shotgun.
-Squad Banter.

I would have really liked to see Weapon Mods, even though they made "ammo" powers, I would have liked to see things like clip extensions and accuracy modifiers. I don't really have anything else that I really enjoyed from the first one.

they should bring back the upgrade screen on guns.
But like mentioned above, they should have something along the lines of a new upgrade, (i.e Silencer, Ammo clip extension, ect.) but at the same time, bring back old stuff like Scram Rails and Proton Rounds.

1. The ability to WALK NORMALLY. The "limp walk" is my most hated thing in ME2.

2. Being able to see Shepard's entire body length while walking instead of waste-up like ME2 is.

3. Walking up against the wall to get a close-up of my Shepard's face

4. Squadmember dialogue/Elevators

5. Kaidan romance. ;_;

-ship armor sets with the game, if you don't buy the DLC, you only have one armor set.

-let us toggel helmets!

-let us put armor on our squad and let us customize it like we can with Shepard

-More weapons but still make them unique.

-explorable planets like the one in Overlord(more of planets like that, beautiful)

-party banter and squad confrontation(like in ME2 but expand it)

-Wrex, Ash and Liara :)

Alright I would like to append this into my list. I keep imagining Shepard walking like Gary Oldmen from Fifth Element. A metallic clank on every other step. Animators don't make him/her gimpy. You can rebuild him/her better than before. You have the resources. You have the technology and you claim to have spent billions which I guess is due to inflation, but... yeah that's it. Thanks Golden Rose for pointing this one out.
