Don't shoot the messenger. It was posted on twitter so I shared it here for people that are interested. It's interesting to know which real life people the characters are based on, shame only two of them are covered.

Be content with getting kinda smexy ingame models. We have to settle with 2 main romanceables that look like cosmetic surgery gone bad

i think the point was that hey we got some hot young women to model these characters after, kind of.  Lets show them off to build more hype and stuff.

Ha, you have a point, although I think Morrigan looks pretty good ingame, aside from having a great voice actress. Leliana isn't bad as well. She seems warm and fuzzy like a kitten.

Anyway, if you are not content with the way your romance options look, and think that female options look 'kinda smexy' you can always decide to play for both teams...
...right?

If they'd taken new pictures to try to match in game shots that would have been cool. But taking random existing photos that loosely resemble the in game models in question seems kind of silly.

Ah yes.
I remember one of the videos in which a darkspawn cut the warden's head off and got his blood splattered all over him. He was kind of appealing.

And you can make your female PC look like a darkspawn, with this skin complexion.

Well I suppose the point is that EA want more money. By pulling this stunt they think they'll get more. End of. I still find it weird though.

On closer inspection of these two characters...
I think Leliana might now be my number one romance choice in the game instead of Morrigan!
