Well, unless Awakening gets fixes that the original game doesn't, then Soteria is correct and I'm wrong. Rally does not drain Stamina.

Nah, it really does, I've seen the relevant code in the toolset and you can really feel the difference in long fights. Now the base stamina regen value was probably increased to 2 with patch 1.03, which means activating rally now nullifies it, without further draining stamina. Try using a talent and you'll see that you don't regenerate stamina, now deactivate rally and suddenly you regain 2 stamina per second.

Still an absolutely great talent, without question.

Actually, I thought of that, and after using Riposte, I watched my Stamina. It actually did increase. When I turned Rally off to compare the rates, I didn't notice any increase in the rate at which my Stamina regenerated.

but your low dex makes you hit like a grandma.

Beancounter, I apologize in advance, but you're a friggin moron! As is everyone else around here! If you'd bother to read the tooltips, you'd know that +1 Strength = +1 Dexterity when it comes to Attack. The difference is what else you get. With Strength, you get more damage dealt, and with Dexterity, you get a reduced chance of getting hit. It's literally a choice between Offense and Defense.

I'm tired of everyone saying Dexterity is the only thing that determines your Attack stat, when it's Dexterity AND STRENGTH that determines it. Why do you think Two-Handed Warriors always pump Strength and nothing else? Because it increases their damage output AND THEIR ATTACK STAT!

Beancounter, this isn't an attack on you personally, and I apologize. You just happened to hit one of my pet peeves. I don't actually think badly of you at all.

Ha, that was worth a good laugh!  We were talking about tank builds, and a dex 2 Hand warrior WOULD hit like a Grandma.  Even though it took me a minute to realize that I mistyped and said a low dex would cause you too hit like a Grandma. But I was referring to a Dex 2 Hand - which would suck.  Ha.

And Rally drains stamina.  Just that 2 points per tick is hardly noticable.  Especially since they buffed up the normal combat stamina regen in one of the patches.

Templar/Berserker Duel Dagger almost all Dex tank works. Templar lets you get 100% magic resist and being mostly Dex adds a ton of Defense so magic resitance 100%+very high chance to avoid missle and melee attacks.

I really like the Champion specialization on my DW warrior, it gives him a solid AOE knockdown ability and Rally is a quite nice bonus (never had stamnia problems with it on myself).

My first DW warrior was templar as a secondary specialization. The reason I picked was that I wanted an extra crowd control ability and Templar provides another AOE knockdown ability.

If you want to play the DW warrior as a tank I would consider Champion and either Templar or Reaver. Reaver for the extra threat.

I recently had my Rogue DW place Hale runes in all 3 slots of the off-hand weapon to sim 'parry' technique, and was pleased with the results. It was not as solid as a shield defense, but it does offer a good Physical Resist boost.

I find actualy using a Shield increased overall damage on my rogue.

I didn't know the same type of runes actually stacked if inserted in the same weapon, nice one. Will definately use that one.

How many days later, and I finally get what you're saying. I feel stupid. You're saying that a DEX 2-Hander would have much lower damage, not a much lower chance to hit.

Unless you mod on the PC and use the one that makes swords etc use Dex instead of Str LOL
