[Don't know if this is OT or not because it has to do with DA and RL]
So I've been sick with some nasty pneumonia inducing virus during the past 8 days. Medications have proved to be of little use, so I've turned to a very old herbalist who lives in the mountains (sort of like a shaman).
He has given me some strange roots that I am to mix with milk and prepare into some sort of tea/milk (no I'm NOT english).
At any rate, he warned me. He told me that I should only take a small sip, and I will have strong reactions in the immediate future. He said that one sip will purge me so bad and fast, I will most likely vomit if not feint outright.
Needless to say why that immediately associated me with DA. I just hope my mother doesn't bring out a huge chalice. Drinking it in 10 minutes.
If I don't post again..
I'm about to undergo The Joining IRL

Oh, is that so? Did the herbalist in the mountains had a daughter that could do magic and shapeshift, oh maybe he/she also warned you about a great upcoming threat, Hmm There is only one logical conclusion: A blight is coming... We have been warned... That's what 2012 is really about. For all you guys know, Darkspawn are gonna come with shotguns and all

I have recently become a big proponent of alternative medicine. I almost died last year from a a severe asthma attack (Yes. Suffocating really sucks!) A couple of months later, I found a non-invasive allergy treatment using laser technology to adjust the body's electromagnetic fields. I have not taken any of my prescriptions since October and have had no asthma attacks. I haven't been able to breathe this well or deeply for over a decade. I was truly skeptical at first, but now I have my life back. Maybe there is magic in our world and we are just to blinded by our own reason and technology to see it.

Herbal medicine is a lot better than conventional medicines. it is a proven fact but most doctors disagree still. Herbal medicine comes from wild plants as you all know. Nature knows best. I should know...i was a wild one.

Heh, yeh, what came to my mind was arsenic is 100% natural. Anthrax too! There's a lot to be said for old herbal remedies of course, but, hmmmm, there's a lot to be said for modern medicine as well.
I think many doctors are concerned about dosage -- obviously that is not measurable in herbal remedies (unless you go to the local health food store and buy overpriced stuff that has been sterilized beyond usefulness I suppose).
Just like not all doctors are good, not all herbalists are good either. Use common sense no matter what approach you use.

BTW, this sounds like something you'd see in a "You know you've played too much Dragon Age when" thread

He didn't survive the joining, back to the task of recruiting again. Lucky we have the right of conscription, which makes for easy recruiting.
Success rate of joining survivors is at about 33% and those are good odds, we only need 1 to sacrifice to the Archdemon. We wont tell the new recruits about that just yet though, don't want to cause a panic.

Maybe he's stuck in the Tower of Ishal. That Ogre's a pain to kill.

So...Infiltrator went to some old man who lives in the mountains, the old man gave him some wierd ass roots that can purge/force unconsciousness/possibly kill him. He is supposed to mix the roots with milk or tea and then ingest them.
What could possibly go wrong?
I'm either seeing a troll, or somebody who seriously lacks common sense.

I'd call this an obvious trolling attempt if I didn't actually know some people who would drink an unidentified potion from a madman living in the mountains without a shadow of doubt.
