Drew's done a great job of avoiding canonizing any of Shepards actions in the first two books, (well I guess only the 2nd as the 1st was a prequel), but if this book is going to take place after ME2 and have Anderson in it as a major character, I'm not seeing how he avoids it this time around.
How about make no mention of Anderson's role in the Citadel? That works.

I don't foresee that being an all too easy thing to do. As well, with the Illusive Man in it I'm sure how the end of ME2 is ignored as well.

It'll be hard, but Drew can do it.

Greyson got what he deserved. He is a traitor and a man completely without vision. He allowed his feelings cloud his reason, and potentially put billions of people at risk, because his attachment to a little girl.
You might not like Cerberus, but their work is necessary. Researching Reaper technology might save entire worlds, and potentially entire species and civilizations. People like Kahlee, people who get in the way because they don't have the stomach to make the hard choice, they're the ones who should be hunted down. Through their unreaonable compassion, people will suffer, people will die.
And "Captain" Anderson? Seems like someone has been misbehaving, and got demoted.
Also, does the cover remind anyone else of the Telepaths groomed to pilot the Shadow ships in Babylon 5?

Or, because they are on the STG payroll!

I pre-ordered the book about a month ago and I'm looking forward to reading the story. It will be interesting to see how Drew handles Anderson's role and what, if anything Cerberus or TIM says about the events of ME2.
Maybe this will help start up the much talked about DLCs bridging ME2 and ME3?

Anyway, I'm definitely excited for the book. Loved Ascension. I'm curious to see just how far the Illusive Man will go with his plans, especially seeing as how Retribution picks where ME2 left off.

Something tells me the DLC we've seen thus far is exactly what was touted as "bridging" ME2 and 3. Hopefully I'm wrong and we'll get at least one more major DLC or, better yet, an expansion.

Also, though I have yet to read any of the books, I just have to say that it's gonna be really weak if this indoctrinated reaper man is the focus of anything more than an N7 mission in ME3. I'd say do it as DLC for ME2, but they already did. It's called Overlord.
