Wouldn't it be useful to get some Cunning on a 2 handed warrior for ridiculous amounts of armour penetration? Hell, this seems like it'd be useful on any type of warrior.
Bit of a question concerning Cunning and 2 Handed Warriors.

Unless they're a rogue, the most they could effectively get out of Cunning is 16 for tier 4 Combat Tactics. Otherwise there are stats that could use the points far more.

OP: You do realize you get like 1 penetration for every TEN points of cunning, right? If you want "ridiculous amounts of armor penetration," use mauls.

When did combat tactics require cunning?
It does not work that way on the x box at least.

Strength, strength, and more strength. I'm doing 2h now myself and have gotten my strength up to 60 so far...kicking behind all over. I've only gotten what was required for coercion and everything else went to strength. There's skills in the 2H talents that help with thrashing armor...so don't worry about that. When you hit something with a 100+ damage...you don't have to worry much about armor penetration hehe.

You might be mis-remembering this.
Combat Training is required to select higher levels of talents and does not require Cunning.
Combat Tactics add script/AI slots to the party member to execute instructions without the players input and requires Cunning.
Admitadly, X-box may run that a bit different then my PC version.

Strength for damage, dexterity for defense and ability to hit. Nothing else for 2-h warrior is useful. Well, you can pump constitution a little, but it's not so important.

I do not remember what else cunning can do for warriors? Anything else it can do? Or are we to rely on dexterity more than cunning?

For 2H Warrior, everything I put into Strength. When you do the Circle Quest, you get +4 Cun from the Fade as well as +3 Str, +2 Dex, +2 Con and +2 Magic.
The 2H skills allow you to hit your target without requiring Dex. I'm finding that I use Pommel Strike to knock down my foe, by the time he gets up, I hit him with a MIghty Blow or Critical Strike. If I'm surrounded, 2H Sweep knocks some or all of them down then I get to pick and choose which one dies first.

No. The amount you'd have to invest in cunning just isn't worth it. 2h Warriors have more than enough ways to tear through armor and if you really wanted more then Telekinetic Weapons would be a better way of achieving that.
You don't *need* anything besides strength if you're going for pure dps.

I think the wiki says "" 1 AP for every 7th point of cunning."

Ah didn't realize it was such a poor ratio.
Shame the stat system is so borked... pretty much everything just devolves into pumping one stat to absurd levels and getting minimum requirements in a secondary stat.

Vaguely related, I remember that AP maxes out at 41 or 42 points.

Correction Str for Damage and Attack score(chance to hit) it increases by .5 per point of either str or dex. Defense increases by 1 every dex though.
Really on a two hand warrior except for getting cunning up for coercion you really want to put every point into Str as this boosts your damage and chance to hit. Your entire purpose is to kill a enemy before it becomes a threat so Dex and Con are useless useless. Willpower is useful though too so as Elhanan would say going up to 30 Will can help for skill spamming. I would think a 3 Str/2 Str 1 Will build alternating per lvl would be allright.

I forgot most of what dexterity can do for warriors. Does dexterity do anything for warriors in terms of dodge chance? I am not interested in the armor penetration stat. I prefer to have a chance to dodge if it is supplied for warriors.

Every point in dexterity adds 1 defense (reduces enemy's chance to hit by 1%) and 0.5 attack, regardless of your class, as well as a bit of damage to some weapons (daggers, bows).
Your dex drops to -1000 if you get stunned or knocked down, though, and some special attacks will never miss.
