Probably something really cool that no one even knows about. I just want a planet sized reaper.

It's going to be the vorcha. They're vermin, just like the geth seemed to be in the first game and the Collectors were in the second. The vorcha need to die. They'll be the cannon fodder of the third game.

After all, they can survive anywhere and don't need to care about the other races. If the Reapers come looking for the vorcha, they won't look on developed planets. The vorcha have short life span and barely understand technology anyways. Some could say they're better served outside of galactic business at all. If they do want to stay in it, they'll be the servants to the Reapers so they think they could stay in it. After all, they're stupid enough to believe the Reapers would spare them.

I have the feeling we'll be fighting the batarians. They are already slavers, they're isolationists (like the geth and rachni were), and now they're fielding some exotic technology (that mirror system).

This!

While it seems batarians are the most likely, as they're the only 'evil' race left that pose a threat (geth are trying to keep to themselves, hardly any Collectors left, and there's no way the Vorcha are unified enough. If this happens though, I'm hoping for a possible 'Enemy Civil War' situation between Reaper supporting batarians and those that think that its going a bit too far.

Then again, I just want a batarian squaddie. Who preferably wears aviators.

I say it'll most likely be some kind of indoctrinated army, most likely an indoctrinated organization of many if not all the races in ME that we will all have to fight.

It would be interesting, though, if Bioware introduced some spine-tingling, blood-curdling twist that made the Systems Alliance the main antagonists.

I'd be like WHAO WTF AWESOME.

The reapers/indoctrinated army, do we really need a new group of mercenaries to kill. ME3 should be concluding the story not introducing a new one.

If not Batarians, then who? Insurrectionists from the council races seems to be plausible, if unlikely.

um... the Reapers?

WELL.... how exactly is sheperd going to fight the reapers with his squad? in space suits or star ships made of reaper tech?

I meant in regards to an army

It could be the reapers have a secret army it uses to subjegate races like Terminators... I really do hope so.

New versions of husks are a no brainer. I've also been reading these posts, and I think a portion of the game may focus on deciding the outcomes of various social conflicts (with bullets) to rally more forces to your cause. Human/Batarian, Geth/Quarian, and Krogan/Rachni scenarios seem likely. I doubt that will be the sole focus of the game however, as that would be a repeat of the somewhat too prevalent loyalty mission syndrome from ME2.

Saw my post from a year ago on page 3. I wasn't too far off the mark.
