An enterprising soul managed to join the Mage of the Blood Developers group today (social.bioware.com/52/albums/16/3519) despite the fact the group is locked down as private and only the owner (me) can invite new members.  It appears this was because I had left it so that new members did not need to be confirmed (my reasoning being since I had to invite them there was no need to make them jump through an extra hoop when they arrived) and this unfortunately creates a loophole!

I was able to recreate this bug using a test account: I identified one of the developers and use the link off their profile page (in the little "Groups" info box) to take me to the Groups home page.  Even though the Group is private the Join Group button is still available.  I was able to click and, had I not already tweaked the settings, I would have had instant access to the group (social.bioware.com/52/albums/16/3518).

We'll have a look - definitely sounds like a bug!
