I was wondering if anyone else got mighty upset at Morrigan taking off if you don't  agree to her proposal? I was playing my character as a chaotic good and avoiding blood and darker magics, so I reject her proposal, so she bolts and I'm left with about 8 health pots total and no healer.

Wynne was killed in a confrontation at the circle due to my belief the mages at the top must be corrupted and most likely need to be killed. That actually came as a bit of a shock to me that she was completely killed off.

So here I am, 45 hours in and lacking a healer! I've got exams coming up(which means I should fly through the ending soon) so I actually bumped it down to easy to clear a room of enemies and then back to normal, but the experience left me feeling cheap. did I also mention that she was the only party member I had trained in Herbalism?

The game is damn good, and I'm not complaining about it, but it was upsetting my actions had such an effect on my end game experience. However, it also goes to show the tough decisions you sometimes have to make in a wonderful game like this. ;)

Anyone else experience the same thing?

None of my decisions actually inconvenienced me, but I was glad to see my suspicions about harrowmont were confirmed in the ending.

I'm kind of amused you were surprised that selecting the option to kill all of the mages involved killing all of the mages, though.

Mages are good. Mmmkay?

Your choices to get rid of the mages in your party left you without a healer and you regret them? I hope you have enough backup saves to keep at least one for your party.

I was also disappointed with Morrigan at the end of the game, although I chose to have the child instead of her leaving. But I believe they are setting us up for either the next game or maybe a really cool patch where we can hunt her down. Either way it does suck that such a main character says either do this or I leave

I absolutely loved how love played such a pivotal role at the end of KOTOR. Tis a shame they did not choose to do the same here. I was extremely disappointed I was unable to convince Morrigan to stay and have a family with me.

But hey, they needed to save something for a sequel I guess.

Curry, I figured you could knock around a party member who is at odds with you and they realize how stupid it was and come around. That is sometimes the case. Even in this game, some enemies trigger a cutscene with the option to kill them or let them live at the end. guess Wynne wasn't one of them.

Syntax; I was hoping that Morrigan would stick around until the end. I wouldn't have cared jalf as much if she wasn't my only herbalist though, haha. When she bolted, I hoped she would stop being a pain in the arse and come around right before the battle for denerim or something to see it through.

Dredogg; It was a good twist that she took off before the final battle, but like you said, it sucked that she essentially says do this or I'm gone.If they do allow tracking her later. I am going to throttle her something fierce with whichever character can get to her first.

Morrigan was, to put it frankly, the worst influence on how I felt my character should be played. I started him off as a relatively nice guy, commited to the Circle but foolishly trusting of his friends. Then, because of Duncan's actions, he feels indebted to him, and after being the only one to survive the Joining, he feels that it's his obligation to be the best Grey Warden he can be (which eventually, after a lot of exposure to its uses, both negative and less negative, leads him to strike up a bargain with the Desire Demon to unlock the secrets of Blood Magic).

I accidentally romanced Leliana, too, but despite my character's love for myth and legend, he was enthralled by Morrigan; here was a rare, exotic mage who had grown independent of the Circle, and who seemed both human and strangely alien at the same time. So, when it came time to choose, he chose Morrigan (again, perhaps foolishly trusting in the "power of friendship" to see him through things, I guess). Dealing with the internal guilt of having sold out an innocent child for the power to defeat the darkspawn, coupled with a desire to seem less weak in Morrigan's eyes (and perhaps to emulate her, somewhat), and a sick fascination with what would happen if an Old God was freed from it's prison sans-Taint, all lead to his choosing to go through with the ritual...

I'm going to go play through as a female to see how it changes things, now.
