I love it when the controller battery dies in the middle of my game. I just love it when that happens.

Fun ways to die:

  • Using the grenade launcher to launch Shepard off a cliff on Alchera (take that, Lazarus Project!)
  • Shooting the giant steel tile on the MSV Estavanico while standing under it to get turned into a pancake
  • Shooting the fiery ceiling barrel of death on Zaeed's loyalty mission while standing under it
  • Standing on the bridge at the N7: Captured Mining Facility only to die on the shuttle as it picks you up
  • Trying to use the Conduit without the Mako
  • Trying to storm past geth ship exhaust
  • Scared of heights on Feros
  • Mako seizure on Feros
  • Benezia turning Shepard into Stretch Armstrong

Has anyone actually tried that one before? What happens if you do?

You blow up

The Geth Ship I found out the hard way... or rather the hot way.  Benezia turned me into stretch armstrong on my first playthrough... I was like: "What the hell?  Is this part of the cutscene or something?"  I figured out it wasn't after watching Shepard's head slowly sink down to the floor.  Reloaded and no problems after that.

The second time she did that to me, I facepalmed.

The only encounter buggier than that was from playing a Vanguard in ME2, during the platforming Collector mission. Biotic Charge simply fails to work like... everywhere.

It works but you have to detach from cover.... and that unfortunately takes just enough time for Mr. "Assuming Direct Control" to take over the collector you are trying to send off the ledge.

I remember one time I was on Virmire, driving my mako around (as you do) and it had taken a lot of fire. My shields were down, most of the mako was red, it was a bad situation. So, instead of just fixing the damn thing, I decided to hop out when I got to the next colossus and take it out on foot. Easy enough... but what I didn't know was that the colossus had hit the mako a couple of time with its main gun and machine guns. So when I got in, the mako blew up and I died.

I had the happen once, It's pretty annoying and makes me wonder why they didn't have safe gaurds in place to prevent you from entering a damaged mako.

Getting killed by a mob of husks because you were to busy consentrating on a Scion is also pretty embarasing.

not doing any loyalty missions.

who would've thought after killing Saren, killing a reaper, and killing lots of enemies, the death of you is because you didn't help a krogan go through puberty, let a father hug his son, etc.

several "stuck" glitches taking cover...absolutely nothing you can do but get shot or if not under fire reload a previous save...priceless. Charge not working for no apparent reason and being shot to death while trying it over and over. Most memorable one, fighting a thresher maw in the mako, getting flipped on our back like a turtle (without any vehicle damage) and not being able to flip it back over??? We had Wrex and Garrus, why couldn't we exit? Oh yeah it said we weren't on level terrain...and we were. We could have flipped it over or gotten out and killed the thing on foot, grrrr I base this not on assumption, because after going thru the Mu relay the mako flips on its back and it shows us escapiing overturned mako. WTF Bioware?

Well the worst death in ME1 was Sovereign's...

Death by Falcon Punch

(Never gets old LOL. Otherwise the worst deaths in ME1 are from Biotics and in ME2 the worst deaths are from Scions. Seriously **** Scions...)

The worst way to die is when your squadmates run off and do something stupid, get themselves killed, leaving you to fight horde after horde of enemies by yourself. No, you don't have any medi-gel. It's insanity, and you've been reviving them time after time again.

Scoping out a target in your sniper rifle and not realizing there is a horde of husks, a pack of varen, a vorcha pyro, or a charging krogan coming toward you.

Oh, and Oculus (and those pesky Praetorians), because he ignores the perfectly expendable squad mates, and goes right for the priiiize. And apparently lasers go right through cover. On those fights I find myself just running around and/or going in and out of cloak while my teammates spam their powers and unlimited ammo. Good Times.

Getting beaten to death by a pesky husk while fighting off far less-pathetic enemies and thinking you're kicking butt, then suddenly the husk hits you with his polygonal hand and it's all over. /facepalm

3.whe my squad mates act retarded and I go in front of them in the line of fire to be a hero and get them to cover safely

4. those freaking scions can hit you and your team out of cover!

When you run to cover using the spacebar and forget to stop pressing space wich means you jump over the cover where a bunch of cannonfodder fills you with bullets.

Choose the wrong power in a desperate situation. Using charge instead of pull on a YMIR for example.

Hearing a break in enemy fire, get out of cover, only to get a rocket to the face.

Or, the human-reaper larvae battle. I was totally depending on my Cain since Insanity is a beach and I ran out of medigel, but right when I shot it, the reaper ducked under the platform. I almost cried.

My most annoying 'death' was driving the Mako onto the cliff-barrier on Feros, such that the wheels did not touch the ground. No amount of jumping or firing weapons would dislodge it in any direction so I had to reload :(

My worst two (although they made me laugh quite a bit):

The first time I saw a Thresher Maw. My husband was watching me drive around the side quest planet that was mostly desert with the howling wind. I was making Dune jokes, and right after one about a sandworm, the Thresher Maw punshes straight up underneath my Mako killing us all instantly.

The other time was my second ME2 playthrough. It had been a while and I had forgotten the size of the human reaper, so I reacted to the first appearance by backing up rapidly ... right off the edge of the hex platform. /facepalm
