I am working on a small tool, which will allow manipulation (scaling and retexturing) as well as export of DA:O models.
It is not quite finished, but I have just released the first version, which is really only a stand-alone model browser - however, that required full parsing of the model file, so adding the remaining features shouldn't be too hard.
The file is here: http://social.biowar...oject/41/#files
I wanted to make clear that this is a beta version - see the included text file for more information on what is still unfinished.
Anyhow, even in its current form, the tool might be useful to some. Take a look, and let me know what you think.
Small model-related tool available for testing.

If you have released it then it is still not showing up. Could double check that you have publicly shared this file? By default, shared files are not available to everyone.

Excellent, thank you for the tool. I hope we'll get an export soon.

well, export of non-animated models to OBJ/MTL is something I'll add in the next few days - However, you might want to check out tazpn's tool as well...he has some export functionality already.

Won't have a chance to check this out for a while, Adinos, but it sounds like a very useful tool. I've used your model viewer for NWN2 and it was a great help. Here are a couple of new feature requests I have for the NWN2 version that might be of help for this version (and for an update of the NWN2 one if you're up to it!):
-In tool browsing: next-previous mdb in folder, instead of having to open file everytime
-Automatic support for tga textures: when a dds isn't found in folder then look for a tga. + Tga file filter when manually opening a texture.
-Automatic connection to global textures: when texture is not found in model's folder, look for it in the global resources.
Thanks.

Works well here - Q6600, HD4850, Windows XP.
Speeds up custom Level building massively. I can just flick through, get the filename and go.
Will there be a way to flush the memory of models you aren't viewing and rotate models with MMB?

Thanks for the NWN tool suggestions. As for flushing memory, I don't keep unused model meshes in memory, but I do keep the index part of the various erf files - the meshes are just read as needed.
As for the MMB, this falls under the issue of better camera control, which is on the to-do list.
If you have any further suggestions, it might be better to post them on the project's discussion board, though.
