I myself paid the extra, but when you think about it people are going to have to pay for it anyway if it comes out for dlc, we still get the other stuff, not really a big loss is it.

It is because it was sold to us as an "exclusive" item.

Sorry, but petty jealousy and childish whining doesn't get any sympathy from me.

All these "It's exclusive, get off my lawn!" people are even worse. I completed the game without using the CE armor and I enjoyed it and had weeks of fun nevertheless. And I will continue to have fun if it gets avaliable via DLC. Having so much fuss about a bloody ingame item is just pissing me off.

Dude, Nick - have you seen Liar, Liar?  You know the scene where the tow lot scratches his car, and he throws a fit but essentially does nothing?  That's what you're doing here.  You can file complaints with the BBB all you want - nothing will happen, because what you're describing is not against the law.  Advertising does not constitute a contract in the way that you think it does.  It's not like you're going to get money damages if they turn around and sell an item they made, and no lawyer or court would even bother - especially since, I'm guessing by how in arms you are about it that you're under 18.
I have the CE.  The collector armor is cool, and I hope that everyone who wants it gets the chance to purchase it someday.  It doesn't affect me in any way, shape, or form.  I know that it's still available for PC, but I know that the gamestop by my house, as well as amazon.com, stopped offering the CE for preorder a week after it was announced - sold out.  Share and play nice - having your "exclusive they better not breach my legally (two "l"s, by the way,) binding contract" does not give you a bigger e-penis.
Consider filling this out:

So I'm wrong for expecting to get what I payed for? It was on the box after all.  That is not advertising... it is part of the product.  Sorry... but you won't get the content.  End of discussion! Oh... and good job at being childish.  Go troll somewhere else!

Let's cut the childish bickering, please. We can disagree with each other without resorting to name-calling and insults.

I wouldn't go as far as saying "You won't get the content ever!" because there's always a possibility of it happening, a slim one but it's still possible.

And if it does... I'll file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Out of curiosity - what do you hope that will accomplish?  Will they go delete the hard drives of everyone who downloaded it?  Will they give you an exorbitant amount of cash to apologize for selling goods to paying customers?

Bioware, this is coming from a CE owner, please offer the DLC for download in the future.  It's some good work, it's really a shame that not everyone can experience it.

I'm hoping that Bioware will not... because they will cheat those who bough it if they do. And yes... I will file a complaint if they do. I thought I had made that clear to you. Apparently all you want to do is fight... so I'm done arguing with you.

HOW ARE YOU BEING CHEATED? You paid for an item, and you received it!

That being said, my last post was not meant as argumentative. You say you will file a complaint, and even though I believe you're blowing smoke because you're taking this so personally, I'm just wondering what you expect your complaint to do. Let's say that Bioware, in their infinite evil, cheat you by releasing what we have to the undeserving masses. What do you hope your complaint will do after you file it?

I managed to get all the pre-order bonuses, as GameStop couldn't complete my pre-order for the Collector Edition (but gave me a code anyway), which resulted in my buying the Digital Deluxe Edition from Steam.

That being said, I wouldn't mind if they were to release the Collector Armor/Rifle as well as the Terminus Armor and Blackstorm Singularity Projector. However, because the Collector Armor/Rifle is still available for both platforms (since the Collector's Edition is still being sold), I don't see them adding it to a DLC until they stop selling the edition itself.

I can recall being slighted a bit when I bought Arkham Asylum, and I didn't get to bash skulls in an alleyway like Playstation owners did.

In the end, it mattered little, because Rocksteady did a good job of releasing free bonus content for everyone.

Personally, I bought the CE for the art book, the comic, and the making-of DVD. The latter turned out to be hopeless (I think it only had one documentary that wasn't already on this website for free, and even that was more "ME2 is so awesome!" vs. "Here's how we created such-and-such"). However, the art book and comic were quite cool, so I guess 2/3 isn't bad.

As for the collector armour, I think it looks horrible and I've never used it. If I could trade it in for the Blackstorm, I would in an instant. Accordingly, I have no problems whatsoever with people being able to buy special edition stuff as DLC.

I really don't get the whole "exclusive" thing - I mean, why people like things to be exclusive. Someone else having something doesn't take it away from you... If you want the thing for itself, vs. its trophy value, you won't mind if others can get it too.

Obiviously Bioware/EA will refund his 10 dollars, or something.

Collector Armor won't get released. Devalues two (three if you count both platforms) of their products, so I just can't see it happening.

Oh noes, not the BBB. BioWare might get a stern letter or something. We wouldn't want that to happen.

You want the Collector Armour? Fine by me. I have it and so far I've only used it on one mission in my 10+ playthroughs.

Seeing as how they released the Inferno Armor as DLC I am wondering if they will offer the other armor sets, especially the Collector Armor as a possible DLC... I wish I knew that there was a Collector's edition when I bought it but the damn Gamestop didn't offer it... I'm willing to pay 5 even 10 dollars for it... but not another 50 for the digital edition... please Bioware help me out with this one:(

This is why I don't do much of my video game shopping at Gamestop anymore.  You would have known about the Collector's Edition if you had done at least a little research, and if you are a fan of the series then you should have known about it for a long time.  I was going to preorder from Gamestop for the Terminus and Blackstorm, but they sold out of their allotment very early on.  I just got it from Best Buy instead.  When I picked it up the guy said that they had actually expected a lot more preorders, but they only presold about half a dozen of the Collector's Edition.

I have no problem with it being offered as DLC.  I have a big problem with content that is exclusive because of some advertising deal they have with the retailers.  It makes me feel like I'm missing out on content.  I think all of the preorder items should be released as DLC eventually, too.  Gamestop's slogan "power to the player" is more like "power to the corporation."

Lets end this discussion, shall we?

"Quote: Jarret Lee

The armor and weapon will not be released as separate DLC. It's very unique to this edition.

Yep the code for the Collector armor/gun is going to be inside the box so you are guaranteed one if you buy the CE."
