There are no male asari.

Female krogans and salarians exist. Krogan females tend to remain isolated and in their own camp, so that gives a somewhat passable excuse for us never seeing them. Salarian females make up about 10% of the Salarian population and almost never leave the Salarian homeworld as I understand it, so it's excusable for us never seeing them in game.

Turian females exist and from everything we know, they should be everywhere male turians are. Not seeing them in game is not so easy to accept.

Well, no there are no Male Asari - this is explained by Liara in the first game, as well as in the codex which provides information on races, etc. in game. If you missed it, go back and check that material.

As for female Krogan, Turians, and Salarians ... we know the first exist and since nothing has been stated otherwise we can assume the latter two exist as well. And how do you know you've not met a female Turian? Just what does a female of the species look like?

Do you ever...play the games? Or pay attention, if you do play them?

I mean, the only ones I can understand you not knowing are the salarian and turian.

Well, learned something new about the asari.

I guess i should have worded it differently. I know that female krogan, turians, and salarians EXIST, but I was just curious why we never see them in-game.

I'm surprised there are so many people who say you never see a female Krogan. It's not a full-fledged dialogue, but near the Shaman on Tuchanka, you can interact with a female Krogan... she just threatens you. Basically, a male Krogan with a lighter skin tone and a much scarier voice.

That's not a female, that's the official diplomat or whatever for the female clan.

Edit: Reason for not seeing the different genders in game is memory. More character models take up more memory and BW just limited it to not take up more memory than needed.

Not female, he's the MALE envoy to the female tribes. Wrex even says he's male.

No he doesn't. Urdnot Wreav does. Because most people keep Wrex alive, that dialogue is often missed.

Well that's... odd.  I don't remember Wrex saying that, but I probably just misinterpreted it or something.  I guess I just assumed he was female because he had an almost pink skin tone, a slightly higher voice, and was the diplomat for the females

Oh, that makes sense.
I've yet to reach that point in the game on a profile with Wrex dead.

If they can't bring themselves to put it in the game or edit it in via DLC at some point, then I'd love to see it in an artbook for the series. I love the interpretations people are doing but I like definitive answers even more. Hell, I'd like to see all the races out of their suits. Other than asari anyway. They've already answered that one for us in spectacular fashion.

I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between male and female kangaroos, pigs, gorillas, badgers, dogs, platypusses just by looking at them.

Especially if they were wearing spacesuits to cover their private parts.

So how would I know if I haven't seen any female krogans, salarians or turians?

Well seeing as Turians seem to be more saurian/avian, I would imagine female Turians look pretty similar to males, since birds and reptiles tend to not have many outwardly visible gender differences. However, the artists apparently had something else in mind, since instead of just giving some of the Turians different voices or coloration they decided not to have any in the game.

Salarians lay eggs, so the females are likely a little more robust than the males, which is common amongst egg laying reptiles and amphibians. I would guess they're wider, especially in the hips, with less coloration in the skin.

Krogan seem to be mammals, with the flat grinding teeth of herbivores and wide set eyes reminiscent of herd mammals. I would venture then that they're the only one of the three that would have breasts or mammary organs of some sort (udders?). We can guess that they are at least as physically imposing as the males, given that there are documented instances of female warlords, such as Shiagur.

Batarians seem to be some sort of mammal as well, so they would probably have similar distinctions between sexes as humans, quarians, and krogan.

There's no way to know about Volus, since their suits conceal far more than the quarians' due to their presurized nature.

Drell are probably in a similar vein to Turians or Salarians.

Hanar... who knows?

I think it was a female Krogan on Tuchanka eitiher that or it had major surgery done! I think with the Salarians, Drell, and Turians their females would be the same as the males with no physical features indicating they were female other then voice and color but they should show all females of the species I mean they can't stay home its not like they NEVER leave their home worlds.
