I was able to remove all codex entries from my module except a few Controls-related ones, the "Shattering" spell combo, and Shale's character (checked by running a quick showallcodexentries).
Any kind souls know what I would use to overwrite Shale's codex? I'm guessing it would be a .plo like the others, but it seems strange that Shale would exist in addons without being in SP or core resources.
Removing Shale's Codex?

Did you try overwriting them with plt_cod_cha_shale.plo and plt_cod_aow_spellcombo9.plo? (oops, I'd meant plt_*.plo).
EDIT 3: Success. The plot GUID for cod_cha_shale is 45CE5838602B431F96EF7B65D005D2C1.
I made a modder resource for this sort of thing available here.
Just create a new plot entry in the toolset or use an existing .plo, then open it in the toolset's GFF editor and change TEMPLATERESREF to cod_cha_shale (maybe necessary), PLOT_GUID to the one above (necessary), and PLOT_ENTRYTYPE to -1 (so it's effectively hidden). You might want to change PLOT_ENTRYNAME to something, but I don't think it matters since you're not displaying it... although if something ever fires off to give you the codex entry splash, then you might still want it around, but unlikely. (Post edit: I guess the summary determines that, but anyhoo.)
The one for shale isn't in the toolset, but I got the resource name through a UI utility I'm about to release within the next hour or so. I assume cod_cha_shale.plo is in the encrypted DLC ERF - my util doesn't open that - but I'm guessing any .plo file with the same resource name will do as long as the codex group is something like -1 and maybe has a unique GUID (not so much an oxymoron as something to make sure of).

Thanks Gourd, I'm impressed! I don't think it should ever fire, but it'd be plenty easy to change back. I'll post the "clean" codex when I get a chance too - perhaps some other modders might find it useful.

No problem. By the way, AmstradHero also has a project with a lot of entries removed, but not all of the core or DLC entries: http://social.biowar...m/project/2696/
But it should now be possible to get rid of those too (I already tested Shale's and it gets rid of it with the method in my previous post).

I'd be interested in an entirely clean codex (I've looked at amstradhero's, but I'd like to remove *everything*), if its not too much trouble to post? dadbdata preferred, rather than the .plo output.
many thanks!
