Don't kill the Normandy twice Bioware, it's cheap. The hype wore off the first time you did it. Don't do it again.
Keep the Normandy SR-2 for ME3?

Yes ME 3 is really just Suikoden combined with Star Control 2... I love it
As long as I get to recruit my entire crew, from pilots to navigators I'll be pleased

The SR-2 is ideal although if we have taken the path to distance ourselves from TIM i'd like us to be able to customize the ship a bit. Having proper access and usage of the cargo area would be nice, you could move the armoury down into the cargo bay and use the old armoury space for something else.
I agree that if we are to help upgrade the ship it needs to be from actually going out and getting it rather than just asking someone for some upgrade ideas.

I think we'll keep the Normandy 2 only because I doubt they'd repeat themselves two games in a row.
If it's destroyed, it'll be at the end, not the beginning.

If they do give us a new ship, I hope the old ship isn't killed off in the same fashion as in ME1.

I want a battlegroup with my own dreadnought and support cruisers/frigates.

I wanna keep the SR-2. I like EDI and my spacious, awesome room.

I'm not a fan of the SR2 much prefer the SR1 design but if the SR2 is to stay lets change those orange Cerberus colours back to the SR1's white black and red. Also loose all those Cerberus logos

Keeping the SR2 makes sense in a certain way. Then again it wouldn't be much of a new thing in ME3.
I can imagine that it may be expanded slightly by adding another level, maybe.
But think about it. Great things will happen, and there are MANY variables that will effect ME3 (Many choices in ME1 and ME2).
There may be major space battles, etc.
It would be really interesting (but a risky step) if you move on to a bigger ship class with a bigger crew. Imagine like...a cruiser or something, with superior firepower but (if possible) still with the stealth-technique.
In the end it's really too early to tell. Anything could happen, and I think it also depends on your choices at the end of ME2...maybe.
Anyway: I'm fine with the SR2 but I wouldn't complain if they change it a bit OR even switch to a different ship (class).

Let's keep it but give it a new paintjob please. I want a sharkjaw paintjob.
But how about having more ships than just Normandy? Imagine travelling the galaxy with my bros Wrex and Garrus ships beside me. Coolness. The turian frigatte starts with firing the custom extra long range Thanix cannons against the enemy. When close enough the krogan frigatte fires the frigatte equivalent of the fully upgraded krogan shotgun on the enemy. And then Normandy sneaks up to the enemy flank!

I say keep the SR-2. Also EDI might not like it if you switched to a new ship since EDI IS the SR-2 now.

No, each game should get a new normandy design. Just update the ship and transfer EDI over. hehe. This way it looks even cooler.

I say keep the SR-2 and maybe make EDI get a virus from the reaper IFF or something and become a SHODAN like character

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
You're right, it doesn't. I only used it once but I fixed it anyway. Sorry.

We should be able to keep it. I mean at the ending if you didn't die, Shepard just tosses a few beams aside and brushes itself off, I mean the holes from the Oculi are still there too, but the ship does run.
Hopefully in future bridging DLC we will be able to upgrade it.
I also hope we pick up Matriarch Aethyta, too. I mean she's an asari Matriarch just hanging out in a sleazy bar on Illium, she can do a lot better good on my ship and helping out my crew... and my bar on the SR-2 is so lonely. (Kasumi doesn't even tend to it).
I would think her radical ideas should provide much needed consult, aside from her family squabbles.

Lemonwizard was simply quoting a line from Princess Bride.

I think if you decided to destroy the Collector Base, the Illusive man would probably send Cerberus Operatives to try to take back the Normandy SR-2. They'd be just a minor nuisance.
But in the end, I see Shepard keeping the SR-2 and EDI.
