Is the incisor sniper rifle any good?

Assuming it's still not fixed (or maybe it was never intended to be fixed), it's ridiculously cheap when your squadmates are equipped with it - like, 100% accuracy burst fire cheap.

But it's not that great for Shepard? Are the other snipers better for him?

It's alright but in general for taking down shields and barriers but other sniper rifles are better.

The default sniper rifle is better then the incisor for him, not to mention the widow.

The problem of the incisor is it's ammo, which frankly sucks.

Why can't they at least try to make a nice looking helmet? =(

Yeah don't understand why they're covering up the eyes in such a cinematic game, the eyes are a big deal in a lot of conversations. /Shrug, no hate on BioWare but that doesn't make sense to me.

For Shepard, the burst fire "bullets" travel like snails (especially when you're a Soldier or Infiltrator using a time dilation skill). An enemy will get hit by the first bullet, glance back, and dodge the next two like they were in the Matrix.

I wouldn't say the default sniper rifle is better than the incisor, as the incisor is better at removing shields/barriers, but the widow and Viper easily are better. The enemies don't flinch when hit by the burst fire hits their shields so accuracy isn't lost on that.

That's only a problem if you aim or only headshots.  Like I said, it's something more for stripping defenses than oneshotting an enemy.  I found it useful on the big heavymechs on removing their shields before switching to my assault rifle but then, I usualy just use the Cain on those missions where the heavy mechs are.

Are we sure the kestral armor is the one in the arch projector screen shot?

Either way I think I am going to buy this one. I think.

Yeah that is it.  It's just the angle kinda makes it look different than the other screenshots.

I fail to see the attraction to new armor or new guns. I have already beaten the game 2 times, I don't need it. It's a complete waste of time. DLC should be new levels and things that actually add to the game itself. Most of the ME2 DLC is been very lackluster and drab.

And that's why you don't see the need.  I've beaten it 9 times, and I still play it now and then, so a change in scenery now and again is nice.

And finally my OCD is at rest with all of the DLC!

I wouldn't say the default sniper rifle is better than the incisor, as the incisor is better at removing shields/barriers, but the widow and Viper easily are better.

Then you should look up at the stats for Incisor then. It has a base damage of only 53 ( for each shot, totaling for about 159 for the total of three ) even with the 25% damage bonus the Incisor has ( giving the Incisor a maximum of 67 per shot and a total of of 201 ) against Shields and Barriers it still falls short compared to the 236 Damage of the Mantis.

That's not factoring headshots. When you using the Incisor you have a high chance that not all your bullets will hit head of your target. Also while the Incisor does indeed allow you shoot 15 times before you run out of ammo compared to the nine times of the Mantis it is harder to come by ammo for the Incisor ( especially on insanity ).

It's a problem the Viper also suffers in terms of ammo. I found it easier in my playthroughs to keep my Mantis and Widow over half ammo then it was with my Viper. And although I can and do aim headshots with my Viper it is far less effective to do so then with my Mantis.

That's only a problem if you aim or only headshots.

Any player who has played a shooter for a decent amount of time will always take headshots first. Headshots deal a LOT of damage, especially with the 50% upgrade damage for it.

i must say i dont like the shape of the armor for FemShep (not that I ever play as femshep but still) its exactly the same as the MaleShep armor but slimmer. it needs more feminine touches. if only you could mod armours like in DA:O

One question: can we use this helmet in the vacuum environment?

I wonder which shoulder piece is better for the vanguard? Strength boost pads or this one.

Highly doubt it friend, since there is a big gaping hole where the mouth is. No air and all. Bad voodoo.

People are ACTUALLY ****ing at the cost? It's very slightly over £1, UK. Seriously? **** me, that's the kinda **** I'd lose down the back of my sofa once a day. For a new weapon and five armour pieces for my favourite game, it's my pleasure to give Bioware said loose change.

That armor looks very cool, and I have been waiting for a chance to use the Incisor.

My only question at this point is why we get so many odd looking helmets in these DLC packs... covering up the eyes but leaving the mouth exposed seems, odd.

That looks pretty sweet.

I might actually buy this pack....the armor looks cool, and I could use a new weapon.
