Went to go resume game, nothing happens, went to go load a saved game and all it says is "Unknown area" and refuses to load.

I've tried one solution I found on here but it didnt work.

I can see the save files in mydocs/bioware/masseffect2/save
but I dont understand why they wont load..

Please someone help me?

Back them up in another folder, then create a new career-> new folder in mydocs/bioware/masseffect2/save is created. Put the old savegames there and try loading them through the new career.
