I will RAAAAAAAGE at what happened to Tug. It's funny -- I figured whoever her companions were would probably die while she got away, but that didn't make stop me from being crushed at such an awesome dwarf being taken out of the picture. Much respect for the way he died though -- he was protecting his friend. Right up until that moment, I had been running around on Tug as my main character. I hope to see more awesome dwarves like him in the future. Marjolaine will die in origins every single time for Tug, period.
The thing that most surprised me about the DLC was that I assumed that people would want to harden Leliana after seeing what she had been through, but this made a very good argument to keep her believing that she's nothing like Marjolaine and leave her unhardened. Well done.

I really enjoyed this DLC. I've always liked Leliana as a character and it was nice to see a part of her history that was so pivotal for her.

I chose the less hardened responses for Leliana (do what is right, I pity you, Letting Silas get his revenge instead of taking it for herself). It fit Leliana better for me. I leave her unhardened about half of my playthroughs depending on what PC I play. And I always kill Marjolaine now that I know she can be fought like any other boss.

Q: Going through the DLC very carefully, managed to plant the items in the chests without raising suspicion, took care of the Bann, the undergarments on the Chantry board, disposed of the tattletale, but I'm stumped as to what other item I can plant on the Captain of the Guard other than the Mage Guild Ring. It seems to suggest there is something else I can do further embarrass him...
You can plant the undergarments, the tattletale, the collective ring, and the entirety of the stolen goods on him (you have to plant all of the goods or none). You'll have to reload/restart if you want to thoroughly embarass him now.

Pretty much any items you get from the quests here can be planted on the Captain's body.
You also need to plant everything on him to get one of the achievments.
Overall, this DLC was fun, especially in the beginning.
I do have some small issues with the difficulty, though it was not as bad as in Darkspawn Chronicles.
On Nightmare, most fights were rather easy, with the exception being the, fortunately optional, encounter with a Weapon Master and 3 Mabari Wardogs which was nigh impossible for me to do. Had to adjust the difficulty down a couple of notches before it was winnable.

If you're talking about the Vendetta achievement, you don't have to plant everything, just 3/4. I planted the undergarments, the traitor's body, and the stolen goods, but never found the ring my first playthrough, but still got the achievement.
Seconding that it was really fun, I'd definitely like to see more DLC along this vein than something like Darkspawn Chronicles. Currently going through it again to try to find all of the masterwork leather pieces.

The major detail for me was meeting Adaia, the mother of the City Elf Warden! As for hints about Dragon Age 2, I would guess it has to do about the relationship between Orlais and Ferelden.
Oh, oh, oh! This just gave me chills - this in itself would make me buy the DLC!
omg!!!
i was wondering why her name was there!!!! i thought i had to give her something or do something... but just said 'lovely girl' or whatever

- I had to laugh after planting all items on the sleeping guard, especially the dead body, the comments you and party make are priceless.
- Another LOL moment, when you climb in the window and Sketch says "tight fit for Tug" then Tug "so said your mother"
- Finally, I gave the axe to Sketch, which seemed fitting, but Silas said he could have used it, and I didn't feel like going back to my last save. I'm curious if this becomes a usable weapon and if it's worth giving it to him for that reason.

Agreed, usually I want to harden Leliana, because I like the more roguish types, but after playing through this I am going to have a much more difficult time getting myself to do it; the last thing I want to do now is tell her that she is like Marjolaine.
I really enjoyed the party interaction in this one - they had some good dialog and great comments between one another while you're running about. In fact, I was really impressed by the amount of dialog the DLC contained, between conversations, commentary and wise cracks. I made it a point of saving the game multiple places so I could go back and try each of the major dialog choices as well - and I'm glad I did, some of the dialog I would have missed was very good.
I was also very happy with the length, which made up for some of the other, extremely shorter downloaded content. By far the best DLC so far - and that includes Stone Prisoner.
Best 7 bucks bucks I've spent in a while.
The only negative comment I have is that it was more combat intensive than I would have liked for a Leliana DLC - I had been hoping for more social maneuvering and manipulation options. But that is only one complaint in an adventure otherwise full of win.

The basics of both versions are pretty much the same: Intrigue, treason, betrayal. Some of the details are different, but that's almost to be expected, given the nature of the narrative. I actually enjoyed the inconsistencies. They made the whole thing seem more, I dunno, human.
My only complaint about Leliana's Song is that it was too short, and doesn't seem to have a lot of replay value (although it's not like they can do multiple endings with a prequel story -- she pretty much has to end up where we find her in DAO). Other than that, I thought it was the best DLC so far. I hope they do more party member-based prequel DLC. Every party member (with the exception of Dog) could very easily be made the star of something like this. Of course, it would help if they gave us a way to conveniently handwave the loss of levels and skills. Pretty simple in Leliana's case: The life of a cloistered sister made her rusty and soft, requiring her to "get back in shape" and re-learn some skills once she joined The Warden. It might be harder to justify with some of the other characters.
My only other thought about Leliana's Song is that is was a bit of a shock to see sweet, caring, pious Leliana as a remorseless killer and fun-loving criminal. Completely consistent with what we already knew about her past, of course, but still a bit shocking to actually see it.

You meet Adaia? I guess that limits how the CE can look then and still look believable.
Yes, you do. There was a character there called Adaia and the place you meet her makes sense from the origin story. (Hopefully some others can confirm this and that I wasn't just imagining things...)
Nope, you weren't imagining things, Adaia was there. And somehow that disapointed me, I liked it when the city Elf had this mysterious mother.
Though now I'm more curious on how she died considering she must have escaped the dungeon. (Guards killed her I would assume).

No one took a screenshot of the CE's mother?
I feared creating a permanent image of it would create a conduit for the beast spoken of in revelations, thus ending all that we loved and held dear in the world.
