Not as long as you'd think...

Sit tight. It's worth the wait.

Wait we shall *Cough,Comic Con, Cough*

Dammit, now I wanna know now :( I hate these amazing DLC packs that make me itching to know which one is next. Hopefully Liara

I'd love to see some Liara DLC so long as it features ME1 Liara, not whoever the hell that was in ME2.

For Christ's sake Liara's been through hell, it's been 2 years since we last saw her, you really think she wouldn't change between ME1 and ME2?

Why is everyone so surprised that she's changed?

I buy that she'd change; but the change we see in ME2 is totally out of character and makes no ****ing sense whatsoever.  Liara was a nerdy archeologist who capped off 50 years of research by making the single most important archeological discovery EVER and yet in ME2 we find her chasing the Shadow Broker to avenge a Drell who she went on one mission with (SPOILER: and who lied to her about the fact that he was working for Cerberus END SPOILER.) rather than pursuing the discovery of the Reapers by saving the galaxy with her former lover.

It just doesn't make sense.   Aside from that as a basic rule of writing if you're going to have a well established and beloved character undergo a radical change to their character you have to go to show that change happening.  If you just suggest that the character has been through some bad **** and leave the audience to imagine some hypothetical scenario that would explain the radical changes then it just confuses the hell out of your audience and pisses off people who liked the character.

All the ME1 characters change between ME1 and ME2.  Garrus goes from a cop who plays by his own rules to a full on Vigilante, Tali goes from being a vagabond to a leader, Ashley/Kaiden go from being willing to follow you through hell to calling you a traitor and Wrex goes from being a cynical merc to being the idealistic leader of his entire species.

But; all those changes make sense because they fit the character and the player can immediatley understand the motivations behind the change.  Liara's change simply doesn't fit the character and so the player is left to invent hypothetical scenarios that might explain what the **** is going on.

Aside from that its simply a very unpleasent character transformation which doesn't even produce any compelling drama.   All the charm her character had is gone and in its place is a cold hearted **** and not even a particularly interesting cold hearted ****.  The encounter with Ashley or Kaiden on Horizon is dramatic as hell and it hits you right in the gut; but the encounter with Liara just leaves you feeling confused and pissed off at the writers.

Simply put; when your audience doesn't understand a character transformation and have to invent their own explanations to explain the character's change it is a very clear indicator of poor writing on your part.

Well put, Goat. My Liara did go from a naive archeologist to being the one who put the final cap in Sarens head at the end of ME1. She also encouaged me to let the council die. She learned that sometimes you have to do bad things, like waste your own evil mom. However, she wasnt a hell bent vigilante consumed with revenge, and she was my lover. You would think she would join me to stop the reapers, and if nothing else who wouldnt want shepard to help them take out the Shadow Broker? Like old times, me and her hunting him down like a dog. You are right, this transformation just didnt fit right

And I think some crazy insane weapons would be great for DLC. They wont break the game, there is no multiplayer to upset, and if you dont want it, dont buy it. But I have played and won several times now, and it would be fun to do a run through just owning everything big time.

For some quick DLC I'd like to see some souped up versions of some of the existing weapons (maybe with some alternate skins) so that we could use some of the underpowered, yet fun to use weapons like the Avenger, Incisor, or Geth Pulse Rifle without handicapping ourselves.

Oh and I'd really love to see a Vindicator with more ammo, I love that damned gun; but it runs out of ammo so damned fast I can't use it to its full potential.

Wish this stuff was in the mission packs or Bioware at least didn't use points so I could buy this without having to spend twice as much as I need to

Also some kind of Spectre armor pieces would be cool also, with the council emblem on the chest or something, and being that most of the specters are of alien origin BioWare could make it abit more alien or scarry looking (Like Sarrens armor from ME1).  I vote yes to "Spectre Pack DLC" contints include: spectre assault rifle, handgun, and new armor pieces. Yeah!

Now that's a great DLC idea! I support it too! :o
Spectre Agent Armor with extremely high shield recharge stats & Spectre Heavy Pistol (all classes could use it).
Maybe paragon/renegade versions of the armor pieces (bue/red lights)...
Also, would be nice to include it as a reward for a small mission, maybe a request from the Council. :innocent:
It would be wierd to get an e-mail from them saying: Hi sorry we were so unsupporting last time, no hard feelings eh? Here's something to compensate.
And that mission could have an impact on ME3.

Good additon Szabo-Krajnyak Sandor, I too wish that they would release new weapon/armor packs with a mission so you would have to earn them instead of getting christmas presents all the time from TIM, especially since I'm pretty sure he hates me now...

Maybe BioWare already has this in the works.. or may be a whole Spectre mission Pack

I like the armor but with almost zero armor in the game itself not counting pay for dlc or bonus armor from buying the game from certain places, this is just silly.

Why should we pay for weapons and armor that should be free, in the game, and quest obtainable...

In the first ME we had a lot more armor and weapons in all areas and that counted for all party members and it was free... I understand that these weapons and armor have been made after game launch but like I stated earlier with the game not having much to begin with and then charging us for more is just plain evil...

I thought Bioware and it's people where above such blatant corprate greed... I geuss I will blindly say that EA has turned Bioware to the dark side.

I love Bioware games but when they do this it makes me sad and worried if they keep doing this what next...

I'd like a mission where I get to work for the council or the Alliance again.  I'm sick of working for Cerberus, I wanted to be killing these ****s not doing their errands.

I agree with you about the armor, particularly the lack of alternate armor for our allies; but so far as the weapons go ME2 defintitely has a better selection of weapons since all the weapons feel distinct in ME2 as opposed to the ME1 weapons where you basically had one gun for each weapon class with numerous slight alterations in stats and a handful of alternate skins.  I mean honestly once you got the SPECTRE weapons did you ever consider using anything else?

I would like to see the game include some alternate skins for the extisting weapons though and a much wider array of alternate skins for our allies armor because 1 alternate skin that you unlock through the loyalty mission is bushleague.   For ME3, I think you should have about 4 alternate skins for each ally from the start and then an unlockable alternate model with 4 skin options.  And as for the weapons about 4 or 5 alternate skins a piece would be nice, say a black finish, a bright silver finish, a grey finish and something a little flashier like the bright red and white weapon skins from ME1.

Alternate skins are easy for the developers to make; but they add a lot of customization options for the player and the lack of them in ME2 definitely irritated me.

Sit tight. It's worth the wait.

In the meantime you can give us some free stuff  through cerberus so as to not declare it dead, mmmmh?

How is it dead? Just because there is no longer any free content, doesn't mean it's dead. Bioware said that they would start off with free content, and then go on to paid content- that's exactly what they did. Making DLC isn't exactly easy work. They need to be compensated for providing you with quality content.

"Just because there is no longer any free content, doesn't mean it's dead."   So what is its purpose now? I would say it's dead if there is no more free content....

"quality"... that is s shaky argument for certain things  Like for example selling the obviously left out of a game in order to cash it in. Adendum:  whoever thought that Garrus would look cool the entire game with a holy armor... should be fired... just fired... as well as whoever thought High heels, and tatoos are combat effective should not only be fired, but slapped in the back of the head :P.

For the rest is... sort of good quality nevertheless.

This is a major issue I have with the Kestral body armor. Same goes for the full suit Cerberus armor from memory, as well as a couple of others. The Kestral body armor even has a slight crotch buldge. No thanks.

Please, BioWare, if you intend to release armor in packs in the future (and I assume you do), make male and female variations of the body armor. If you've been trying to make them unisex, you've failed, because they look blatantly for the male body type.

So yeah. Fix that. Or something.

In the real army I believe everyone is issued the same armour regardless of gender. The whole breast plating thing on the N7 armour is done to make the armour look sexy but practically it isn't needed.

Correct, but Mass Effect isn't a war simulator, its a cheesy space opera, hence plated armor, interchangable parts, and full body suits and occasional spandex.

I dont need DD ****** sticking out of my chest plate, but I do want it to look like it was built for my female Shepard, and not have a crotch bulge.

To me you sound greedy, they need to make money you know and Bioware made their network so they can make somethings free (All the DLC that came out for the network would equal way over $15) If you want to look at something very greedy go look at the CoD map packs and tell me they are not using their fans! and plus the DLC that cost money are not expensive at all!

P.S. The Darkside is cool! We have milk and Cookies!
