Haha! This is BioWare's response toward removable helmets and drinking/clipping with the helmet on! Sweet!

Has anyone besides me noticed that every new helmet available has shepard's mouth exposed, I think that is what they are doing instead of making a helmet toggle. Seems to me like a cop out.Image IPB

Also, when using the helmet, what does it look like in space, does it close or do you wear a rebreather?

The game forces Shepard to wear the default N7 enclosed helmet (which gets rid of whatever bonus you were wearing the head gear for!):pinched:

Thanks, well that really sucks for us. get rid of oone issue, add another I guess, 1 step forward and 1 step back leads to nothing.

It's all good (well apart from the ugly helmet, Recon Hood is still my top head piece!)

It seems strange not to have the N7 logo on it. I might be able to use the chest piece on my main Shep and the leg armour on a couple of other Sheps but that's about it. I don't think I'll swap out the Viper for the Incisor Rifle on my Inf Shep but would let other team mates use it (other than Legion). Focuses too much on melee attacking which isn't my style of play but am looking forward to other class centric armour components with multiple attributes (Infiltrator and Engineer please.)

Cannot wait for my adept set, maybe every piece has a +cooldown bonus on it, Throw needs to be able to be used constantly!

Hm. The Kestrel armor comes in pieces compatible with the N7 armor, which means that the helmet is removable (or interchangeable with visors). This is a tremendous improvement over previous armor "sets" that were completely non-customizable. Looks like BioWare listened to the complaints about previous armor sets not being able to remove the helmet.

I won't be buying this- I'm not shelling out $2 just for a bunch of armor pieces and a gun- but I can give credit where credit is due. This is definitely worth more than the previous PDLC armor pack, Equalizer.

This does not change the other armor sets so it does not truly fix the problem. We want to be able to wear any armor sets and be able to get rid of the helmet when we want to.

AFter seening this package. Biowares telling us they are listening and they hear you. I think Femsheps will be Femsheps in the new game so have some hope now. Image IPB

Hah! Bioware listening? Hardly. As in this case with the new armor- if they were listening, they'd have included an option to toggle the helmet on or off, and on the fly! Where is the logic behind having to go into my Captain's cabin just to remove my helmet make any sense?

While this new sgemented armor is much more ideal, it still doesn't really address the issue of helmet toggle on the fly.

As for femShep armor for the new game, I hope they designate the armor with the appropriate sex in mind, as well as hair! For fark's sake, the hair needs to be fixed! No more mops!!

Wow. People complain about DLC armor not coming in pieces, so Bioware addresses that in the next release. Now your complaining about switching the helmet on and off during the game. Give it a rest. Is nothing ever enough?

The armor seems to be perfect for my current character, a Sentinel. Sadly I hadn't the time to test it in combat but I'll do it very soon. The shields' bonus and the meele's attack bonus damage should increase my Sentinel comabat efficiency.

With the current system they have, do you really expect them to add a helmet toggle through a patch? I mean how would you even access the helmet toggle if they don't even have an inventory system.

Finally, more n7 pieces!

The set is amazing, but the helmet is ugly. Incisor was a good bonus too. Happy as there was no build up to this, was better then one static suit of armor, etc etc.

Though I would be pleased with more story-fueled content :P

EASY! Go to the squad menu and toggle it there!

Is that really all that difficult to implement? Seriously? Bioware does not need an inventory menu to have the option of toggle helmets. Just a lttle intuitiveness on Bioware's part would suffice.

oh look something stupid for me to spend the rest of my useless points on. thank you bioware. let me guess it costs 361 points?! cool ill just go spend $5 more for 1 point and keep 399 useless points that will sit in my account until the next useless dlc comes out.

Don't buy it then.  I got an idea, if you think it's dumb, don't buy and stop complaining about spending a few bucks on something you won't use, and stop crying.

I don't get it, we were getting better than this for free via the Cerberus Network at first, now we're having to pay for everything? I don't mind paying for things like Kasumi and Overlord but for weapons when I've already beaten the game twice? It's all a bit shameless.

Hrm... I guess I came out a little too strong. I did not mean to complain, or at least sound like I was. I guess this harsness comes from the work that I do, instructing clients on their workout routines and all...

I did say that this new armor is much more ideal, as it comes in segments, so my previous post was in response to Bioware addressing issues with the game. Mainly the myriad of bugs and clitches (this is them NOT listening and doing anything about them)... Anyway, I'll rest this case for now in light of sounding like a whiner.

So fark you, and thanks for reading! :P

I agree that a helmet toggle would be cool, but honestly you really think you know more than the creators of the game?  Also, you obviously love the game because you are blogging about it, so stop complaining about it and talking crap about it's creators, you sound like a baby.

Hey I just noticed something. Remember the pic of Shep with the Arc Projector and we were all wondering what armor that was? I think the armor in this new pack is it!!

I swear I knew it.

In addition, I agree that this particular piece of DLC is proof enough that BioWare is, in fact, listening with their ears wide open. Seriously,  I wish I could say something more than thank you.

I like the helmet, but the outfit is too smooth and bumpy. it looks like megamen or metroid reject...

I would like to see grittier suits, maybe with utilty belts(?). Remeber the secret "Jenissary" armor from ME1? that would be perfect!
