Without the right talents, that Night Captain is nigh on impossible; he makes mincemeat out of your melee characters.

I really enjoyed playing this particular DLC --- especially since Leliana has always been my favorite.

I have played and replayed this DLC 6 times today trying to get the leather armor, but to no avail. This one that I just now finished I had four pieces of the armor The one that the Big mouth had, The one in the master bedroom and two in the second part of the Arl's Estate --in the weapons room and the other in the chest. There was nothing in the Chantry, however.

Again, though, as mush as I liked playing Leliana's Song, I will probably never play it again. I mean, what's the point if you can't get or keep the fancy leather armor. I guess i got my $6 worth. I did play it six times. Thanks.

Heh, um, I kind of find this amusing. It's a bit like saying. 'What's the point of reading that graphic novel if they won't give me a suit."

You think it's funny do you?  Just like in Awakening you are suppose to be able to transfer you Origins characters over to Awakening, which you can: and, I do. That was in part why I spent the $6 dollars.  I want to get what I paid for: and that was part of the promo. Understood?!?

Lol! Wow, dude! Do you have steam coming out of your ears like in a cartoon? 'Understood?!?' Heh, yes. Maybe if you used a few more question marks and exclamation points.... Or...maybe I think your priorities are skewed. You know people will disagree with you here, right? And that most people don't think that calls for a verbal backhand?

Like Misho29 wrote cann't get help from official sources so we are advised to use forums to get help from other users as that's what they're ostensibly here for, not bickering or snide comments.

If this is getting help then forget it. I use the PC as I've loved gaming for years now its been the mainstay of my life since my husband became ill. He is now terminal and this is all the enjoyment I get at present as I do not go out as he needs me constantly. Therefore I joined the forums and try to speak to people here if I run into difficulties.

Its a shame that when others run into difficulties when the majority seem to sail thro the people needing help get slated and treated with disdain. I'm very downhearted that no-one gives a dam when help is asked for. I don't know why I bothered to ask in the first place.

Yeah, he's really tough, isn't he? I also found the Beastmaster and his Mabari's a tough challenge, although not as tough as the Night Captain, and the last battle too was pretty hard. I liked this though, because I felt that in requiring you to use strategy, the dlc was clearly aimed more at the seasoned player who had got beneath the surface of the game more than the casual player, as arguably some of the other dlc is more pitched towards.

It's hard to know what you should do, for me, in order to advise you. From your earlier posts, I get the impression that you have a number of mods installed, so have you tried unistalling them first? Then uninstalling and reinstalling the main game itself?

Alternatively, can you use your bow to taarget Perrin and shoot him, in the hope that activates him?

That's my final hope. I usually find its the 1.03 patch interfering with something I'm using for DA:O so rarely install it. Was hoping to be able to wait the the new patch in the event that it fixes whatever's messing up the 1.03 but well this dlc seemed like it was gonna be so much fun I loaded it. Not even played the Darkspawn Chronicles even tho I've bought it coz of the necessity in having to load the patch. Feel really dumb I can tell you...

Loved the 4+ hours of adventure.  Loved the new NPCs.  Loved the learning about Leliana.  And, (as always!) loved listening to Corinne Kempa's VA work.

@Jallard;  Well, I found all the pieces and got the armour well before the end, so was able to obtain the benefits during the last few battles.  ('Course I'd been buffing Leli's dex, cunning, and "mechanical expertise" all along, so no problem getting at things...)

More directly to your point, I was then able to bring the Battledress along into DA:A, (where, interestingly, a key stat was reduced considerably.)   But it's a great piece of gear for any rogue/bard/assassin type.   Image IPB

Overall, I think Leliana's Song  was worth every pseudobuck, and left me wanting more!  Thx, Bioware.

You're not dumb. It defies ordinary expectations that the thing won't play for you. I can only think that the problems with this patch must be immense that so much time has gone by without a further update.

Well here goes nothing, gonna uninstall everything, put on patch and official DLCs then add the mods I want one at a time and see what happens. Could be a long night :-)

Finally it's out for PS3. Already played through it - best DLC so far (excluding Awakening, buth Awakening is a full-sized expansion).

Also I've just discovered that there's a limit to number of characters on PS3. That's atrocious. Especially considering copy-protected saves.

...it could be mods. Just throwing it out there. I have never used Mods, out of fear of how it effects the game.

Good luck with that. The Leliana story is worth it, though. Genuinely adult in tone, and packed with good quality challenges, on the whole.;)

More glitchy? I haven't noticed any glitches at all. What are you talking about?

Yeah, we are loosers

Dare I ask why?<_< Why is it not available? And, more importantly, what this means - is it not available for named PS stores or it simply doesn't include these languages support?

No language support. First untranslated to Russian DLC. I'm angry

They should release it anyway, even with English language only - just mention that in the description.

I'm starting to regret buying ALL goddamn DLC from Russian PS store... BTW prices there are converted from prices in Euro, so content is overpriced like for others folks in Europe...

I beleive (from what I understand) it is available anyway, they just don't have the eastern European language support in this one.

I'm thinking it has to be an announcement ffor something. The main bioware twitter account tweeted that too so while it appears to certainly involve Dragon Age it may also involve Mass Effect 2.
