I finally played through this DLC last night, and I rather enjoyed it. I played through at my usual "thorough" pace, and logged ~3+ hours on the game. I also logged that on Darkspawn Chronciles. That pleased me quite a bit, as they seem to be longer DLCs than some of the prior side quest DLCs.

I liked it for what it was. It's a DLC.. not bad for that. I do wish they at least tried to reflect what Leliana says about her past in the main game.

OK I really think there is a bug with that armour. I read the whole thread, and someone was complaining about not finding all the pieces.. I have the same problem.

1 in Denerim - check

2 in Arl's estate - check

2 in Arl 2 - Nope. Only one I could find is the in the armoury. I did check very thoroughly, twice..

1 in Chantry. This was disabled. There was no way to check the place it was supposed to be in. (mentioned earlier but I wont repeat it.)

-To short to be really enjoyable. Playtime for this is really bad. I clocked in at just over 4 hours and I had the game on pause for a lot of that time. I would be willing to bet you could beat this in about an hour or an hour and a half at the most.

[/b]-The comic/cartoon like pause and splash of red we get when your introduced to each character you meet of importance. It was interesting when it first happens at the beginning but not through out the whole story. Did Quentin Tarantino direct this?

-Seeing Marjolaine and Leliana’s relationship together was decent but it should have been expanded on a hell of a lot more that what we see here.
.

Wow, if you clocked 4 hours on this, you're doing good.

I really liked the splash pages -- I had seen in pre-release interviews that Bioware wanted to do something different with this DLC, including being a bit more cinematic.

I agree on the relationship point -- I think it should have been expanded more to ensure that we really got the "betrayal" emphasis that I think the DLC story was trying to tell. I think they fell short on telling us about why Marjolaine's betrayal was such an impact in Leliana's life.

Pretty sure there is one in the armoury and one in the "treasure" room(first hallway after exiting the dungeon) just outside of the room that enters the dungeon. Leliana makes a comment something like "Its meant to be a burglary right?" I seem to recall picking up one there.

I'll play the whole thing again and check there. There was no piece in that chest in my first play through.. Thanks.

Well, my first (and not so first, after sleeping over it) impressions are that this was the best DLC ever. And not talking just about Dragon Age.

Love the black white n' red "intro" screens for characters. :)

Strange... I was able to DL it and I got bugged at my character. Bald and didn't appear during the opening cutscene.

I'll try manually downloading it.

The second game that I played straight full, is at 1 hour and 31 minutes with only the final battle left to do.

Ok, uninstalled reinstalled and tried to play the blasted thing again

Wont let me do Bann Perrin. His guards do nothing even when I get the city guards to follow me to Eamon's estate and we're fighting like crazy.

Can't believe this. Anyone help me please

It seems to me that your download is missing a crucial line of code somewhere. On pc, do you get the option to delete and re-download again without paying again for it? I'm guessing not, since I imagine you'd have tried that, but it's worth asking just in case....

In no way I edited the DLC in anyway. What you see, is what I got:

There you have it. What went wrong with this DLC? Darkspawn Chronicles worked fine... :(

I loved the music for this DLC. It really suited the whole Orlesian 'game' theme. I'd have liked to have seen more interaction between Leliana and Marjolaine but overall it was really a treat on the side.

As much as I'm not a big fan of Leliana in the main game, I must admit that I love her in this DLC and this add-on is by far my favourite - interesting plot and quests, perfect pace, great dialogue. I've already played it three times. Some may complain about it being short or not well-developed in terms of relationship between Leliana and Marjolaine - to me, it's flawless. Now I really hope for more DLCs like that (something about Zevran maybe.... pretty please!)

Kaotician, thanks for replying. I'm finally playing, however I've had to do a complete reinstall on a new partition no mods bar the DLCs which is definately a bummer. Will play this a few times and then install what I want to play Origins however, now the patch is on its debatable whether I will be able to play the mods I want as when I did the install before this one my chargen was completely screwed and certain mods refused to load regardless of what I did. Lets hope the v1.04 will put right the things that 1.03 have messed up.

Having fun although I'm finding it difficult to get the stuff I need due to low amounts of gold and lootables. The console doesn't work with this dlc so cann't boost money. That's a little gripe compared to what I've gone through and I'm gonna try to put on the morph to make Leliana look younger. Other than that its fun.

My reaction to Leliana's song was positive, as I've posted previously, but given the news about DA2, and the idea that reaction to potential game changes is being tested in DLC, I feel the need to say clearly that just because I like something in a DLC about a companion--someone who is not my character--doesn't mean I want to see it in the game.

There is only one Leliana, and we know her voice. That is not true of a PC. When we play a companion, we're just 'visiting' their life, we aren't creating it. Leliana's song had lots of cinematic effects, but not much conversation. That's okay for a short piece of history, and it works for this DLC. I would not want to see that in the game. I want to play my PC's life not watch it. I want to speak with people to learn things about them, not watch them. Cutscenes are fun, and improve the game certainly, but I wouldn't want to see such a reliance on them in the game. I find that particularly true when multiple scenes are strung together with blackouts in between. It's jarring. Do a cutscene, then get back to gameplay.

My approval of the DLC should not be taken as tacit approval for more of the same in DA2.

Well, it's supposed  to be a low-on-gold romp in Denerim.  Gotta make do with the limited resources on hand.   And if you want the trophy, you can't even keep the best piece of loot you find in the Market!

I've already seen some Leli facemorphs for LS  over on DANexus, so it is  possible.  Good Luck!

I am severely disappointed. Another DLC that takes place in Denerim Market. What happened? The game itself was so fantastic but these DLC's are downright awful!!!! Please Bioware, craft some better DLC content for DAO. This is the worst DLC yet for Dragon Age.

well I am not retarded but whatever...I guess criticism is not permitted here. The DLC was off course with the original story set for Leliana (she was imprisoned in Orlais) in DAO and the locations were just the same locals we visited already in both DAO and DAA. This is my opinion and not meant to offend anyone. I thought it was a waste of time and money. I am a huge fan of the original released game but the downloads FOR ME are just awful. Try downloads for ME2, now Bioware got those right. leeboi2 - i hope you have a wonderful day.
