Voice acting was great imo. Leliana sounds more mature in this DLC which i like. Huge improvement over origins.
You can tell the team has learned a lot from Origins and it shows. Can only mean good things for DA2.
Great DLC, on par with ME2 Overlord DLC as great DLC purchases.

*sighs* More please?! Yes?! Companion stories for the win! hehe
Doesn't have to be all companions! Let's send Fergus on an adventure, shall we? Hmmm or Bryce and Howe and all of them. LOL okay see what you've done to me! Got me all excited! LOL I'm going back to playing DragonAge sniffle sniffle Leliana will never be the same.
YES INDEED!! Give us more Companion DLC! If they were to do another such DLC, it would likely be one of the main companions with whom you can have a love interest as those are the most likely to draw the most attention and $$$.
Well I would definately love to see the events leading to the joining of Alistair and of course the joining itself.

Yeah, an Alistair DLC ought to be fun. Fleshing out these characters' backstories definitely seems like a step in the right direction. Leliana's Song was fantastic
Incidentally, is Bioware releasing a soundtrack of the music from the Leliana's Song DLC? I felt the music was one of the highlights and would love to know how to get my hands on it!

It was fun. Although it lacked a certain punch due to the fact that we pretty much knew the ending in advance, I still enjoyed it. I'd certainly like to see more DLC focusing on the back-stories (or, if possible, future-stories) of our companions.
Also, *wonderful* music. Is there a way to listen to it outside of the game? I'd love to add this to my Bioware soundtrack mix. :-)
Two small criticisms.
1) There was a rather large amount of re-used content in terms of the areas (arl's estate, marketplace, etc).
2) Achievements seem buggy (Battledress of the Provocateur was achieved, but once I got the achievement for finishing the DLC the Battledress achievement disappeared). I don't actually mind much, since I'm on the PC version and achievements have never been hugely important to me. But it did strike me as odd.

I had problems getting the Battledress to appear on my characters after I had achieved the BoP achievement. I realized that I had to logon to my Bioware account when I started the game and *poof* there it was in my existing character's inventory.
Perhaps you have to connect to the DA servers via logon to get the achievement status updated.

i still have issues with the pc being equiped from the get go with uber gear, but thats nothing that cant be fixed by not using items until a logical time, the new armour for example not being used until leliana is recruited.
the only real downsides i could see was the voice actor for marjolane also being dorethea. shes good but the identical voices made me wonder what the heck was going on until i properly met dorethea.
as for the location being in denerim, well leliana is a bard and this is a story, you dont know who she is telling it to, but it doesnt come across as an outright lie but rather taking liberties with the fact for a particular audience. i view it as her betrayal based on her life not an exact retelling.

Yeah, I think the version she confides with the Warden is probably more the truth, but Leliana's Song is an artistic telling of the story where she might take liberties with the truth. Even in the end, she sort of leaves open what happens, though we know in Origins that she has a later showdown in game.

I just think, the DLC was written after the game was finished, because Leliana got so popular, so they had to think about something, if they didn't want to invent Olesia just for a small DLC.

So, I just played it through. The gameplay isn't that great, I would expected more sneaking, but the story and the characters are great.

When I tried going through my bugged DLC, it crashes when I plant the papers in the Bedroom of the Noble Estate.
Reinstalled the game like more than 7 times, keeping the character folder empty and just enabling the Leliana's Song mod produced NO CHANGES.

Neither the setting or the story match up. And, while we can explain it away as Leliana singing a song that is "based on a true story", it's not really justifiable. I absolutely understand that building Orlais wouldn't be feasible... but, considering that, surely the story of Leliana's betrayal -- as opposed to one of the countless other adventures she undoubtedly had, some of which could have easily taken place within Ferelden -- should have been off the cards?Siven80 wrote...
Ok so the setting in Denerim doesnt line up with what Leli says in Origins....but thats understandable. Saves ££ and time from not making new maps.
The "Orlais would have cost too much" excuse isn't an excuse at all. Because even knowing that they still chose to rewrite the story of Lelaina's betrayal and that's the problem.
It's not that it wasn't well written -- it was. Taken purely on its own merits, I enjoyed this DLC immensely -- and I don't want to imply otherwise -- but it still played fast and loose with the setting in a way I didn't appreciate.
In my view, the story Leliana tells is a condensed version of her entire history with Majoraline, right up to the confrontation at the end. In Leliana's song, it occurs above a mountaintop and before she's devoted herself to the chantry, in reality it occured in a small house long after she had done so. (Origins implies that was the first time they have met since Majorlaine framed her, after all)

It seems like making some of the buildings in Denerim accesible wouldn't be that difficult or time consuming and it would help immersion. It would open up plot possibilities that are more complex than running around the market.

I am having gray hair ahead of my time because of this dlc however: the product itself works perfectly, but one of the battles (on Nightmare difficulty) has been too much for me and as a result the computer is now in danger of flying out from the window / or getting stabbed with a fork or being beaten with a coffee cup (note the use of the usual nerd- equipment that just independently walk into room). The first time in a long time my nonexistent skills are not enough. And before someone thinks its a bad thing oh no - completely opposite: I really appreciate the challenge.
I am supposed to catch a flight in the morning myself and I will complete this dlc before that! I will not yield! Aarghh!
Thank you! And apologies for ranting - I'm going through difficult time in my life. Goddamn Mabari-%&%&¤&¤#
