Hello ALL,

Well this is the first DLC I have not downloaded as soon as it became available.  I was determined to hold off and see if it was worth the $$, but more important, were there any bugs that would kill playing it like there is in Awakening.  However, the reviews from you all sound very positive and that you are having a blast in playing it.l  So I will be downloading it this evening.

Question, can this be played after you have completed the game, or do you need to start a new game to properly play the game??

Thanks everyone!  ~~  Gunny  Image IPB

@Gunny...

You load it form the section "other games" like Awakening... Therefore you can play it at any moment.. It is detached from the main game..

The pieces are easy to find. Check every chest and you will get them.

What would interest me is, what you have to do to ruin the carreer of that one person in the market district, because it is an achivement.

Put everything on him. The lacey-panties, the stolen goods, the dead body and mages ring.

This was great DLC. I do wish the Battledress had a unique model, but that's a small complaint. My only other complaint is how many of the areas were recycled. There was only one tiny area that wasn't taken from somewhere else, but when you're dealing with Denerim that's probably to be expected. But that's another small complaint.

Great voice acting, great music, great characters, and it was fun.

Do you know, I came to completely the opposite conclusion. Upon seeing the size of the download (471MB) on Xbox, I guessed that they were re-purposing environments, but the upshot of that to me is that we get a whole load more dialogue, cut-scenes and in-game Codex detail than we're used to with dlc, and for me, I want more of that sort of stuff. I believe you can still see that Bioware have spent the money on this dlc, just in places other than making more environments. I hope they do more like this, honestly.

I'm coming to realize I'm all about male mage NPCs. Jowan, Anders, and now Sketch. I would have loved to swap any of them for Morrigan or Wynne.

Well, I played though for the second time and I still didn't find that goddamn leather armor, that is suppose to transfer over to Origins. I searched every where. I even played the stupid Mage's Collective quest that netted me absolutely nothing of value. Can I have my $6 back please? If you are going to make us play hide-n-seek at least give us something of value? Jesus goddamn Christ. I am really disappointed.

Incidentally, I can't even stay logged into this damn forum either? What's up with that?

You must have at least 3 points in Deft Hands or you won't be able to pick the locks on the chests that contain some of the pieces.  The final piece is in a drawer in the Chantry right before the end.

Here is a short and relatively spoiler-free checklist:

Denerim marketplace - 1 piece
Arl's estate - 2 pieces
Arl's estate part two - 2 pieces
Chantry - 1 piece

If you are wrapping up one of these areas, make sure you have the right number of pieces.  I missed one my first time through because of a low lockpick skill.

It figures the goddamn things would be in chest that Leliana can't unlock. Look the **** is suppose to be a Bard: so,  why do I have to add points to unlocking skills, when they are better used for Dual Weapons, strength and dexterity? If I have to replay that friggin game a third time, just to open the chest to get the friggin armor I will be pissed. That's bull****.

Thx, good to know. I put the stolen goods into the chests to finish the related quest.

I agree with this - what we were paying for was the creativity of a storywriting team and the voice talent.  I would rather spend my money this way than have the development costs focused on new graphics and new spell combos, neither of which necessarily result in good story, and might cause Bioware to skrimp on the things we love best about them.

Yeah, I missed that one too. I dumped a body on him, and the Chantry Signet Ring, but it wasn't enough - so there must be something more.......

Don't get me wrong, I think this is the best DLC BioWare has put out. Period. It's certainly better than crap like Overlord.

I much prefer the story and character-driven type of content instead of new areas and garbage gameplay.  I was just saying, if I had to complain about anything it would be that the areas were all borrowed from Origins or Awakening. It kind of kills the "exploration" part of it, as you pretty much know exactly where you are, where you're going, and where treasure might be. But it's a very small complaint, and I'd love to see more DLC like this in the future.

Ha ha, you know, I really liked Overlord too (though why it wan't called Overload, because of its' content, I just dont know)

However, on your main point about familiarity and thus less new places to explore, which is also great, I do understand you. There were differences here and there, but yes this dlc is very much about character exploration rather than environment exploration.

You have to steal from all 3 chests, and then get the "unmentionables" from the Bann. Pretty much, you're taking everything from all the quests in the marketplace and dumping it on him.

Hmmm, so you can either finish the quests or gain the achievement but not both in the same playthrough, eh?

You'll still finish the quests.  If you recall, the quests were to kill the guy, steal the items, embarrass the Bann, and (optional) find the Mage Collective.  Dumping the items on the Captain still complete your objectives, just in a creative way.  :)  How embarrassed must the Bann be to find his girly undies on another man passed out in the street!!

BTW, you only actually need 3/4 for the achievement, the mage's ring is optional, since it wasn't one of your core quests.

As of right now it is not out yet for PS3.  I'm guessing it will be out within 2 hours but that is seriously just a guess based on the last 2 DLC.

Oh, right. My first playthrough, I nailed his underwear to the Chantry board:lol: I guess that's why you need only 3/4, as you say, in case you find that other use for 'em. What I did on my first playthrough was swap all the stolen goods around between the merchants, so used them there, then nailed his underwear up, as I mention, thus leaving me only 2/4.

I am sorry but it really irks me. I cannot get the master lock picking crap. All I was able to get was the first three and I still coud not open those last three big gold chest.. What a terrible was of $6.  I am playing on "easy" and I expect it to be "EASY." I have played through 4 times now. Enough is enough. I wish I never bought into it. What fool I am.

Someone's posted about this, albeit in elliptical fashion. Make sure you have deft hands up to level 3.

Bioware, why didn't you make rogues this awesome in the original game? Why didn't you make everything this awesome. I knew what was coming (as it is a prequel) and it was still awesome. The music was awesome. It just oozed awesomeness.
