This is inaccurate. So my question is, since I saved the Sirta Foundation's base will that help Sirta in ME2? Or, will ME2 think it was a massacre just like the Citadel news reported?

So I went on the mission and saved all the researchers. Not a single one died! But then when I came back to the Citadel, the intercom talked about how it was a "massacre" and that all the researchers died. This is inaccurate.
So my question is, since I saved the Sirta Foundation's base will that help Sirta in ME2? Or, will ME2 think it was a massacre just like the Citadel news reported?

This is a known bug in ME1. And since ME1 sets the flag wrong, it will carry over in to ME2. I don't think it causes more than a news report, though - you can still shop at the Sirta store in ME2.

Yeah, I imported and it carried over incorrectly. 
I guess Sirta will be closed in ME3, since the news reported it would likely be closed by the end of the fiscal year. Suck.
